VITEEE 2025: Results out at vit.ac.in; BTech counselling registration begins
VITEEE 2025: The Vellore Institute of Technology has announced the results for VITEEE 2025. Students who appeared can check and download the results for VITEEE by visiting the official website, Using application number and password, students will be able to download the same from the VIT website. The entrance exam is conducted for students who are interested to enroll themselves in VIT to pursue BTech courses in various VIT campuses across the country. It was between April 20 and April 27, in two shifts, that the Institute conducted the exam for which the results were declared on May 3. The computer-based-exam awarded one marks for correct answer. Along with releasing VITEEE results, VIT has also started the BTech counselling process for students. Those who want to appear for the counselling, have to register and fill the form. During this process, candidates can choose their preferred campus, programme, and fee category. Seat allotment will be based on the candidate's rank and the availability of their selected options. Candidates securing a rank up to one lakh will be eligible for counselling across all four campuses — VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT-AP, and VIT Bhopal. Those with ranks above one lakh can attend counselling for VIT-AP and VIT Bhopal campuses only. Following the tuition fee payment within the given deadline, VIT will verify each candidate's eligibility. Candidates must present the required documents either upon reporting to campus or whenever requested by the admissions office. Please note, provisional admission granted during counselling will be confirmed only upon meeting all eligibility criteria.

CM Chandrababu Naidu outlines vision for youth, capital development and innovation
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu emphasised the pivotal role of youth in shaping the nation's future during his participation in the 'V-Launchpad 2025 - Startup Expo' at Vellore Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh (VIT-AP). He urged young people to seize government opportunities not only to secure jobs but to aspire to build companies. Naidu also announced that capital development works would be restarted on May 2 with the inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking a significant step toward transforming Andhra Pradesh into a hub for innovation, with Amaravati poised to become a Quantum Valley. Naidu was addressing a gathering at VIT University, where he also inaugurated the Mahatma Gandhi Block, VV Giri Block, and Durgabai Deshmukh Block. He praised VIT Chairman Dr G Vishwanathan for his success story, having moved from humble beginnings to set up VIT, a globally recognised educational institution. He recalled how Vishwanathan sought approval to set up VIT in Amaravati in 2014, emphasising the State's commitment to education and innovation. The Chief Minister expressed his vision of Amaravati becoming the centre for technological and educational advancements, with plans for a Ratan Tata Innovation Hub and a Quantum Valley similar to Silicon Valley. He highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship at the grassroots level, adding that renowned universities such as VIT and SRM already have campuses in the capital. Reiterating his commitment to the capital's development, Naidu spoke of the 29,000 farmers who contributed land for Amaravati and said the government would support them through various initiatives. He reflected on India's economic liberalisation in 1991, which he helped push forward with the establishment of Hi-Tech City, and now, his focus is on building Amaravati into a thriving economic and innovation hub. Naidu lauded AP's growing economic potential, with a vision for a 15% annual growth rate and a goal to achieve Swarnandhra by 2047, with a per capita income reaching Rs 55 lakh. He stressed the need for balanced regional development, with Visakhapatnam set to be the financial capital and Tirupati as the spiritual hub. The development of infrastructure, including a new airport, metro rail, and significant investments like ArcelorMittal's Rs 1 lakh crore investment, will drive economic growth across the State.

VITEEE-2025 begins at VIT-AP University
Amaravati: The Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2025 has officially commenced on Monday at VIT-AP University campus in Amaravati. This computer-based examination, held annually for students aspiring to pursue B Tech across VITs campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Amaravati (AP), and Bhopal. Speaking on the launch of VITEEE 2025, Dr SV Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of VIT-AP University, said the exam will be conducted at various centres nationwide until April 27. Students from 120 cities in 219 centres across India and 6 international locations Singapore, Qatar, Muskat, Dubai, Kuwait, Al Manamah are participating in this year's online examination. Results will be released in May and one can visit at Registrar Dr Jagadish Chandra noted that apart from VITEEE 2025, following exams will also be held: VITEEE 2025 from April 20 to April 27; VITREE / VITMEE / VITLEE on April 20; and VITREE/VITMEE on April 24. To support candidates commuting from nearby regions, VIT-AP has arranged transportation services from Vijayawada and Guntur. Providing details on the admissions process, Dr. John Pradeep, Deputy Director of Admissions, explained that candidates securing a rank within 1.5 lakh are eligible to participate in the online counselling process in VIT-AP, which will start in May – June 2025.
