‘One-Punch Man' Season 3 Will Come Westward Via VIZ Media
The third season of the wildly popular One-Punch Man anime adaptation will be released in the West this October courtesy of VIZ Media. One-Punch Man started out as a webcomic and later a manga about Saitama, the titular protagonist who just wanted to be a hero for fun but can defeat any opponent with just 'one punch'. When the manga was adapted into an anime, the first season was animated by Madhouse. I reviewed the Blu-ray release of that, and it was and is a genuinely excellent anime, not least because of the amazing animation quality, but also the epic opening song from Super Robot Wars regulars, JAM Project. The second season of the anime was handed over to and they are back again for this new third season. VIZ Media will be streaming the third season this October, as well as handling all the home video releases. They also release the manga outside of Japan, so having it all under one roof is handy. Personally, I love One-Punch Man and also thought threezero's figures from a few years back were also excellent. The premise is silly, but the execution of the manga and anime is amazing. Here's hoping the third season lives up to all the hype, as the latest trailer (shown below) is rather great. Follow me on X, Facebook and YouTube. The last Dandadan chapter, titled 'It's a Typhoon Direct Hit,' began with Jiji warning everyone about the typhoon and airborne sharks. This prompted Bamora to verify while Unji expressed curiosity. A shark crashed into the plane, shocking Momo and Jiji. Seiko ordered everyone to secure themselves and wear oxygen masks. Bamora enlarged to seal the breach. As more frozen sharks struck the aircraft, the temperature dropped. Seiko, impaired by medication, simply confirmed the urgency. Momo identified the Typhoon Human as a living cryptid. Seiko rejected retreat and decided it had to be destroyed, targeting the frozen shark as the key. Dandadan Chapter 196 is expected to follow Seiko's plan immediately, with Momo, her group, and the Kito family cooperating due to time constraints. To counter the Typhoon Human, they will attempt to eject the frozen sharks from the aircraft simultaneously. Vamola will likely exit the plane, enlarge, and physically hurl the sharks into the ocean. However, just as their strategy shows signs of success, the Typhoon Human will very likely retaliate, potentially complicating their mission and escalating the threat. Dandadan Chapter 196 is set to be officially released at 12 am JST on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. For international readers, this will be available on Monday, June 2, 2025, with release times adjusted to local time zones. Dandadan Chapter 195: Evil Eye Takes Over Jiji; Recap, Release Date, Where To Read And More
The last Dandadan chapter, titled 'We've Been Hijacked,' saw Momo and Jiji confront Naki Kito, confused by her presence after her prior arrest. Naki, unaware Momo is on her leg, accuses them of causing the volcano disaster. Fighting breaks out between both groups. Unji protects Raiya from Juichi, using touch to strike Juichi and Juhiko. Bamora urges Unji to retreat. Jiji summons the Evil Eye, who repels Jugenna. Seiko engages Naki as the Kito family blames their downfall on Momo's group. A tornado damages the plane, and sky sharks appear, alarming everyone aboard. Dandadan Chapter 195 will likely escalate the conflict, with Naki Kito's provocation possibly causing Jiji to lose control and allow the Evil Eye to take over. Although this may overpower the Kito family, it could create new risks. Meanwhile, the damaged aircraft descending toward the ocean suggests a worsening crisis. The airborne sharks and tornado are expected to be tied to a yokai ability granted by the Orchestrator. As a result, a new antagonist may emerge by the end of the chapter.
