Pudukkottai MLA helps girl return to school
Trichy: Pudukkottai MLA V Muthuraja has helped an 18-year-old girl working in a tea stall to get back to school.
The DMK legislator was en route to an official event and stopped by a tea shop for refreshments on Friday.
Seeing the girl working at the shop, he struck up a conversation with her. "When I asked why she wasn't studying, she nervously replied that she was working at the shop.
She told me she had no parents and was staying with relatives," the MLA wrote on X.
Muthuraja then contacted her relatives, collected her academic certificates, and took her to the Perungalur govt high school. He introduced her to the headmaster and helped her get admission to the school.
A video clip capturing the exchange between the girl and MLA has been shared on DMK's social media handles.
