Body of missing snowboarder, 26, found two weeks after he went missing in Vail, Colorado The body of a Colorado man who went missing two weeks ago has been found, according to the resort he was visiting. The man has been identified as 26-year-old Connor Gill from the Denver metro area, according to television stations KMGH-TV and KKTV. His remains were found Friday. Gill was visiting Vail Mountain ski resort in Eagle County, according to public updates from the Eagle County Sheriff's Office, which announced him missing on Feb. 16. He had gone snowboarding and failed to come back, the sheriff's office added. Vail Mountain confirmed to USA TODAY Wednesday morning that the missing snowboarder was found on the property. "On behalf of Vail Mountain and Vail Ski Patrol, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of our guest,' Beth Howard, Vail Mountain Chief Operating Officer, said in the statement. 'We appreciate all of the rescue agencies who conducted this search alongside Vail Ski Patrol." Gill was last seen when he was scanned at a lift around 8:50 a.m. on Feb. 14, KMGH-TV reported. He was headed toward the Avanti route area. He was reported missing around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 14, according to the sheriff's office. Team members from Vail Mountain Rescue and Vail Ski Patrol began to search areas where he was last seen, as well as areas he commonly snowboarded, the sheriff's office said. Between Feb. 14 and 16, temperatures ranged from 7 degrees to 27 degrees, according to AccuWeather. From Feb. 13 to Feb. 21, 56 inches of snow accumulated at the Vail Mountain ski resort, according to a forecaster from the National Weather Service in Grand Junction. The body of a snowboarder who went missing from Vail Mountain on Valentine's Day has been Gill was just 26 years old. He went missing on a snowboarding trip on February 14, 2025. Vail Police assisted as well.
