Vangarde Arts announces a new, three series concert event
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Vangarde Arts will be hosting their first-ever 'Vangarde by the River' concert series.
The three concert series will take place on the outdoor patio at the Hilton Garden Inn in Sioux City; each concert will go from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The event will kick off on Friday, June 13, with the 'Dirk Quinn Band,'a funky jazz band from Philadelphia.
The next Friday, June 20, will feature Josh Hoyer and Soul Colossal, an American soul band based out of Lincoln, Nebraska.

The series will conclude on June 27 with 'Maygen and the Birdwatchers,' a folk band based out of Minnesota. Vangarde Arts director says he hopes for a decent turnout.
'It's just great for people to come down and gather and be outdoors and be down on the river, and you know, it for sure's it definitely brings folks together. I mean, we've seen it. You look at a lot of different events, that's really what it's all about, and especially, I think in the summer and these outdoor things it really helps,' said Vangarde Arts Director Brent Stockton.
The fee to attend will be $10 at the door, and the event is for all ages. Food and drinks will be provided.
