SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Come out for the Vegan Community Cookout in Shreveport, where food, fun, and wellness come together! The event will be held on Friday, June 14th, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pamoja Park at 914 Sprague Street. This free event invites the community to explore plant-based living through a vibrant mix of vegan cuisine, holistic vendors, and interactive wellness experiences. According to the organizers, the Vegan Community Cookout is free and features plant-based food such as BBQ Jackfruit and dairy-free desserts. The event includes a raffle with exclusive prizes elevating local Black-owned wellness and art businesses. Vegan Community Cookout Shreveport's raffle prize includes: A 3-month supply of Sea Moss products ($180 value) from Superb Herb Nutrition A 1-month Culinary Nutrition Health Coaching Package ($320 value) from Teal Garden Nutrition A custom painting by EliseGalore Early bird price: $7 (Save $3!) — available until June 1, 2025 According to their website, individuals can enter the raffle prize early by providing their name and email address. They are still accepting applications for food vendors, wellness brands, artists and organizations 'who align with holistic living and want to connect with a vibrant crowd.
