AN URGENT recall has been made of a popular product bought on TikTok over its electric shock risk - what to do if you own one. BREAKING NEWS Major supermarket issues urgent recall for sausages due to blue plastic contamination
Morrisons is urgently recalling its own-brand sausages over fears they contain small pieces of plastic. Food safety watchdogs stuck a 'do not eat' alert on the supermarket's The Best 6 Thick Cumberland Sausages. Affected packs are those weighing 400g and with a use by date of May 1 this year. Morrisons stated: 'Please do not eat this produce and return it to your nearest store for a full refund.' Th'We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.' The Food Standards Agency, which published the alert, issues recalls when problems are spotted with food that means it should not be sold. The regulator added: 'Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product. 'These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.' How large the plastic pieces feared to be present in the meat are has not been revealed. It follows a similar alert that issued last month over Iceland's Vegetable Lasagne. Customers were advised to return the ready meal — with the best before dates 23 July 2026 and 30 July 2026 — due to potential presence of hard pieces of plastic'.
