Hasbro Unveils 'Marvel vs. Capcom' Games-Inspired Marvel Legends Figures
Hasbro has revealed its newest wave of Marvel Legends Gamerverse action figures, featuring ten characters inspired by Capcom's classic fighting game series, Marvel vs. Capcom . These newly announced figures will be released as either individual figures or packs of two, with the full line-up including: Captain America vs. Venom Psylocke vs. Thanos War Machine vs. Omega Red Wolverine vs. Silver Samurai Gargantos Juggernaut These figures will be the latest line-up to Marvel Legends' Gamerverse subline, and will see the debut of Gargantos, alongside updated designs for the remaining characters, with fresh new colour-schemes and body proportions to better suit their appearance in the classic games. These changes include Venom's game-accurate blue colour scheme, War Machine's exaggerated shoulder pads, and various effects parts to simulate the special moves in the game, like Wolverine's Berserker Barrage claw effects and Silver Samurai's Shuriken. Being a Marvel toyline, the collection will understandably omit the Capcom side of the game's roster, so it remains to be seen if Hasbro will announce a separate line featuring iconic characters like Ryu, Chun-Li or Akuma sometime in the future. The line-up also barely scrapes the surface of the entire Marvel roster in the games, but at least for now, fans can make do with existing Marvel Legends releases until the announcement of a potential second wave. In addition, Hasbro has also announced its first wave of Fantastic Four: First Steps toys to coincide with the release of the movie on 25 July, including the titular trio of Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm and The Thing, alongside Johnny in his Human Torch form and the Silver Surfer. Pre-orders for the Marvel Legends Gamerverse action figures will open in June this year, with the figures expected to release in Fall 2025, with the Marvel Legends Fantastic Four First Steps line-up releasing in Summer 2025. Kevin is a reformed PC Master Race gamer with a penchant for franchise 'duds' like Darksiders III and Dead Space 3 . He has made it his life-long mission to play every single major game release – lest his wallet dies trying. action figures Hasbro Marvel Marvel Legends marvel vs capcom

Sky Q users offered free TV 'gift' - check your email inbox now or miss out
Sky is dishing out free movies to apologise for the recent Q box issues. Thousands of Sky Q customers had a pretty rough time this month when their boxes suddenly stopped working. Many rushed to social media to complain of issues, including frozen devices and error messages displayed on the TV screen. Sky became aware of the problems and quickly released a fix, but some faced days of disruption due to boxes needing to be restarted and reset. These types of Sky outages are incredibly rare, but with Q being such a popular set-top box and so many left unable to watch TV, it became a nationwide talking point that clearly angered a lot of users. Sky has since released a number of updates to say sorry and even sent a text apologising to users hit by the glitch. Now, in a bid to get things back on track, Sky has issued a new email telling those affected they can grab a free Sky Store Buy & Keep movie. "We're extremely sorry if you experienced disruption to your Sky Q services recently," Sky said. "On the evening of 15 May, a technical issue caused some Sky Q boxes to enter standby mode. Our teams acted quickly to resolve the issue and restore services. "We're gifting you a Sky Store Buy & Keep movie — it's our way of saying thank you for bearing with us.' Movies available as part of the offer include Bullet Train, Jumanji: The Next Level, Les Misérables, Venom, Gladiator, Brides Maids and The Equalizer. Grabbing this bonus is simple. Sky Q customers can just click on Sky Store from the homepage. Then they will see a 'Your Sky Store gift on us' tile at the top. It's then just a question of picking a film. "Once downloaded, this is yours to keep forever," Sky added. The only thing to be aware of is that users need to make their gift selection before 31 May. Along with dishing out free movies, Sky is also reminding anyone still seeing Q box issues to give things a reboot. If you're still experiencing disruption to your Sky Q services, you need to try the following steps: • Switch off your Sky Q box at the mains. • Wait for 30 seconds. • Switch it back on to restore services. • Please also reboot your main Sky Q box if you're having problems with a connected Mini box. Hopefully, this will fix things and get your viewing back to normal.

Topher Grace (Yes, Topher Grace) Is an Opium Kingpin in Netflix's 'The Waterfront' Trailer
Do not mess with Topher Grace — and not just because he was once (the super weird choice to play) Venom. On Thursday, Netflix released the trailer for upcoming family-drug-dealing drama The Waterfront, which looks sort of like Ozark meets Bloodline (with a bit of Virgin River), set in North Carolina. All eight episodes premiere on June 19. More from The Hollywood Reporter Thomas Haden Church Is Here to Help the Shop - and Will's Erections - in 'Tires' Season 2 Trailer (Exclusive) 'Sirens' Review: Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock and Julianne Moore Star in Netflix's Erratic Slice of Affluence Porn Meghann Fahy Compares 'Sirens' to 'White Lotus': "Everyone's Obsessed With Wealth" Kevin Williamson's (Scream, Dawson's Creek, The Vampire Diaries) The Waterfront is 'inspired by true events,' per Netflix. What true events? We Googled and found nothing — so we asked Netflix directly (twice). 'Kevin pulled from his own real-life upbringing in N.C.,' a spokesperson for the show told The Hollywood Reporter. 'It is not a 1:1 adaptation, but drew inspiration from.' It must have been some upbringing… 'For decades, the Buckley family has ruled Havenport, North Carolina, dominating everything from the local fishing industry to the town's restaurant scene,' reads Netflix's logline for The Waterfront. 'But their fishing empire has started to crumble as patriarch Harlan Buckley (Holt McCallany) recovers from two heart attacks, and his wife Belle (Maria Bello) and son Cane (Jake Weary) venture into the deep end to keep the family businesses afloat.' Harlan probably shouldn't be punching people so much after two heart attacks.'As their attempts spiral out of control and into treacherous waters, Harlan steps back in to take command,' the synopsis continues. 'Facing her own demons, Buckley daughter Bree (Melissa Benoist) — an addict in recovery who's lost custody of her son — finds herself entangled in a complicated relationship that could threaten the family's future forever.' The family soon finds itself entangled in a major opioid operation, led by Grace, defending their new emerging empire via fists, guns and sharks. You read that right. In addition to Williamson, Ben Fast executive produces for the aptly named (for this series) Outerbanks Entertainment; The Waterfront filmed in Wilmington and Southport, North Carolina. Michael Narducci and Marcos Siega also executive produce the series, which is a Universal Television production. The Waterfront also stars Rafael L. Silva, Humberly González, Danielle Campbell and Brady Hepner, and guest stars Grace, Dave Annable, Michael Gaston, Gerardo Celasco and Zach Roerig. Ahead Of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, The Franchise's Flash Thompson Actor Shares One Hope For The Character (And I Have Mixed Feelings)
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Sony's standalone live-action Spider-Verse officially seems dead following a series of duds. All the while, the actual live-action Spider-Man that exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen success that's unmatched for a character that's been adapted for film so many times. With the upcoming Brand New Day, Tom Holland will do something nobody has done before: star in a fourth Spidey movie. Ahead of that, co-star Tony Revelori revealed something he'd love to seen, and I'm torn. What will actually happen in the upcoming Spidey flick is anyone's guest but, now that Sony's Venom franchise has come to an end, seeing an official MCU Venom isn't outside the realm of possibility. If it were to happen, Tony Revolori, who plays Flash Thompson in the continuity, admits he would love to follow in the comic character's footsteps and become Agent Venom. He told The Direct… Yeah, you know, look, I've read the comics that everyone's read. I would be really, really f-ing excited to do something like that. That would be really cool. I have no idea what or if or when or maybe, and we'll see. Look, the hope is to do it, the dream is to do it. And we'll see if it ever happens. And if it doesn't, they're making great shit regardless that I will watch over and over and over again, and I'm just happy to have been a part of it. While the version of Venom that we saw in Sony's trilogy with Tom Hardy is the somewhat traditional version of the character, the Venom symbiote of the comics has gone a lot of places and bonded with a lot of people over the decades. One of those was Flash Thompson, who bonded with Venom as part of a U.S. government program when Thompson was in the military. The character became known as Agent Venom. On the one hand, this is a kind of brilliant idea. If and when Venom ever officially joins the MCU, doing it in a significantly different way makes a lot of sense. After all, fans just saw a trilogy of Venom/Eddie Brock movies, which are officially part of Marvel's multiverse, so doing it again likely isn't going to excite a lot of people. On top of that, connecting Venom to an existing MCU character that audiences know certainly makes more sense than introducing all of it with new characters. Fans know the character already, and they know Flash, so why not? Tony Revolori's version of Flash is also significantly different from the traditional comic iteration, which means an original, and therefore more interesting, version of Agent Venom as a result. At the same time, it's not even clear at this point whether Tony Revolori, or other recurring Spidey movie actors are even going to appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, nobody knows Peter Parker. This gives the movie a really intriguing opportunity to take the franchise in new directions, and if everybody from the other movies just comes back anyway, it won't feel like much of anything is 'brand new.' Like a lot of people, I would love to see Tom Holland's Spider-Man go up against Venom at some point, whatever form that may take. If it ends up being Flash Thompson's Venom, it's not the worst idea. I'm just not sure it's the right one.
