Authorities are investigating the death of a 75-year-old woman whose body was discovered on the patio of a home in Vernon, B.C., last week.
In a news release, Vernon North Okanagan RCMP said officers found the senior dead Friday afternoon after responding to a 'family disturbance' at a home on 34th Street.
Police had received numerous calls about a fight escalating at the property, the RCMP said.
Officers arrested a suspect at the scene. The individual has since been released from custody under several conditions, pending a future court date, authorities said.
No other details have been released, including the names of either the victim or suspect.
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP described the senior's death as an isolated incident, and said there is no 'known risk' to the public.
