What we know The Countryside Fire Protection District said crews responded around 9:30 a.m. to the area of Indianwood Drive and Michigan Court for a report of a vehicle crash into a building. When emergency crews arrived, they found a single vehicle had crashed into a townhome. The driver was already out of the vehicle. Two townhomes were damaged in the crash. CDW beats quarterly estimates on demand for hardware, software
May 7 (Reuters) - IT hardware and services distributor CDW (CDW.O), opens new tab topped Wall Street estimates for first-quarter revenue and profit on Wednesday, buoyed by steady demand from healthcare, education and other industries. CDW said customer demand for desktops, notebooks, mobile devices, software and services helped it overcome a slowdown in sales in other hardware categories. "While economic uncertainty continues to persist, certain end-markets experienced improved customer spending during the first quarter of 2025," the company said in a statement. Revenue from its public segment, which sells to customers in the healthcare and education industries among others, rose 10.3% to $1.88 billion. Net sales from the company's corporate segment, the largest contributor to revenue, rose 6.3% from a year earlier to $2.23 billion. The Vernon Hills, Illinois-based company provides IT solutions such as cloud services, cybersecurity, and distributes hardware to enterprise, government, and healthcare clients across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
