Shiloh Farmers' Market to showcases crafts and artisanal goods this week
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Shiloh Farmers' Market in Harrison Township is opening soon. It is a fantastic way to support small businesses and community members in the Miami Valley. Opening day will be June 14 and the last day will be on September 27. The opening event celebration will also include a performance from the Englewood Civic Band at 10 a.m. and the annual Shiloh Church garage sale. Versailles Poultry Days seeks world record for largest BBQ soon The market is held every second and fourth Saturday of the month, at Shiloh Church on Philadelphia Drive, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sellers will include the following: 3D Creations – Personalized crafts and photo frames. Ari Infinite – Body cream, oils and sprays. Big Poppin' – Kettle corn. Blackcat and Me Jewelry – Wire wrapped jewelry, crystals and stones, soap, resin products and crystal candy. Body Essence by Shae – Hydration drinks, wellness shots and skincare. Connie's Tupperware – Plastic food storage containers. Crocheted Comfy Cozies – Crocheted blankets, footies, hats and shawls. Nic Nacks – Hair oils, butters and creams, beard care, body scrub, shower steamers, herbal tea, hoodies, T-shirts, coasters and key chains. Palette and Pastry – Homemade desserts, original paintings, and blank note cards depicting artwork by Linda Hughes. Perfect Physique Boutique – Athletic clothing, casual attire and lounge wear. Sandra's Avon – Makeup, skin care, bath/body care products and fragrances. Snacks For Scholars – International flavors of popular snack brands. Tasha's Common Scents – Hand-poured scented soy candles, tarts, lotion, body/room sprays and soap bars. Poultry Days announce 2025 festival dates
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A summer festival and staple offered from the village of Versailles will go forward as planned. Versailles Poultry Days will go on as scheduled according to the festival's social media. The post acknowledged the prevalence of Avian Influenza and its hampering of farmer's produce across the world, but specifically in the Miami Valley. With bird flu hitting 1st Ohioan, what are the symptoms and how is it treated? 'We are actively placing our chicken order and have been promised plenty of chicken for this year's festival with 39,400 dinners served last year. Versailles Poultry Days extends our thoughts and prayers to all local farmers and poultry producers as they navigate this challenging time,' the festival said in the post.
