Vestal Winterguard hosting ‘Emerald Fire'
VESTAL, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Vestal High School Winterguard will take to the pageantry floor next week for its annual home show.
Vestal is hosting 'Emerald Fire' on March 15 at the Vestal High School gymnasium, located at 205 Woodlawn Drive in Vestal.
During the competition, students from across the state will showcase their skills using flags, swords, batons, and other equipment to put on an exhilarating performance. Schools in attendance include Binghamton DARE, Corning, Horseheads, Johnstown Amethyst Gold, Laurens, Liverpool, Norwich, Owego, Union-Endicott, West Genesee and more.
There will also be a demonstration by Vestal's Indoor Percussion ensemble.
Doors open at 2 p.m., with the first guard unit taking the floor at 3.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for kids over five students and seniors. Children under five can attend for free. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
