Randy Hayman named new Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans executive director

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans has announced a new executive director after a search that began back in February when the previous director, Ghassan Korban, announced his departure. Hayman previously served as the commissioner and CEO of the Philadelphia Water Department, as well as general counsel for DC Water and Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. Hayman also has experience as a partner with Beveridge and Diamond PC, the United States' oldest and largest environmental law firm. While in leading in Philadelphia, three billion gallons of pollution were reportedly removed from the water before it could reach streams and rivers. He also played a lead role in the integration of smart meters across every home in the state.
