Vietnam Cites Progress in US Trade Talks, Will Continue in June
Vietnam says it's made positive progress in the second round of trade talks with the US, as it seeks to secure a deal to avert a cripplingly high US tariff. After three days of trade deal negotiations the two sides identified 'groups of issues on which consensus or views were close, and groups of issues that needed further discussion,' according to a statement on the trade ministry's website.

Vietnam Calls Trump Tariff ‘Unreasonable' as Trade Talks Start
Vietnam's trade ministry called the Trump administration's so-called reciprocal tariff 'unreasonable' as trade talks between Washington and Hanoi begin. The ministry, during a Thursday conference, asked domestic companies and associations to send letters to US officials complaining about the Trump duties, according to a post on the ministry's website. It also directed groups and firms to collaborate with US partners to rally Americans and politicians in support of maintaining a 'normal' flow of Vietnamese goods to the US, it said.
