Edinburgh Airport has announced they will operate flights to Beijing all year round.
Hainan Airlines previously ran the service between March and October, but now the Scottish and Chinese capitals will be connected throughout the year.
Edinburgh Airport, which is part of the Vinci Airports Network, said the change will improve connectivity between the two destinations.
It will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays on an Airbus A330-300.
Gordon Dewar, chief executive of Edinburgh Airport, said: "We've always been proud of being home to Scotland's only direct service to China so it's great to see Hainan making that a year-round route.
