VSP issues alert for missing 70-year-old woman with cognitive impairment in Alexandria
ALEXANDRIA, Va. () — Virginia State Police (VSP) are asking for the community's help locating a 70-year-old woman who was last seen in Alexandria Thursday morning.
The Alexandria Police Department and state police are searching for Virgie Nadine Goolsby, who suffers from a cognitive impairment.
An investigation determined that Goolsby was last seen walking in the 700 block of N. Patrick Street around 10 a.m. on May 15.

More than 12 hours after her disappearance, state police issued a senior alert for an at-risk missing person.
Authorities described Goolsby as around five feet and four inches tall, and she weighs around 150 lbs. She has brown hair and eyes and was last seen wearing a black top with black pants.
Alexandria police noted that Goolsby is known to walk to the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
