Sandburn Hall among finalists in VisitEngland Awards for Excellence
Sandburn Hall, near York, has been named as a finalist, along with two other 'large hotels' in the country, in the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
Sandburn Hall is set on a 1,000-acre country estate and has a 40-bedroom hotel, an 18-hole championship golf course, a Grand Hall, and the Tykes Restaurant.
The VisitYork judges described Sandburn Hall as a "hotel with a clear identity and truly living its values."
They added: "Being family owned and independent is a real point of difference which gives the opportunity to create a unique atmosphere.
"Working with a number of local suppliers and attractions speaks to a commitment to the Yorkshire hospitality community."
Sandburn Hall is now up against the other finalists, Mallory Court Hotel & Spa and Titanic Hotel Liverpool, with the winner due to be announced at the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange on June 4.

Sandburn Hall recently won Large Hotel of the Year in the VisitYork Tourism Awards.
