Coca-Cola recalls Topo Chico mineral water over fears of bacteria
The Coca-Cola Company is recalling Topo Chico mineral water that was sent to five US states due to possible bacterial contamination. Coca-Cola is voluntarily recalling 'limited quantities' of 16.9-ounce glass bottles of Topo Chico that came in packages of 18 because they may be contaminated with the bacteria pseudomonas. They were sent to stores including wholesale retailer Costco, which distributed the bottles to its locations in Louisiana and Texas. The affected items were purchased from May 20 to 29 of this year, Costco stated in a letter to customers on Monday. 'Pseudomonas can be found naturally in water sources, including mineral water,' states the letter. 'The health consequences of consuming mineral water with the presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa is considered to be very low in healthy individuals with potential minor health consequences if consumed by individuals with weak immune systems.' Costco members who bought the mineral water with the lot code 13A2541 should return it for a full refund. 'The safety and quality of the products we offer our consumers is our top priority,' reads the letter. There have been no reports of consumers becoming sick from the mineral water, according to a Coca-Cola spokesperson. 'All impacted product has been removed from store shelves at the approximately 40 retail locations across Arizona, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas,' the spokesperson told FOX Business on Thursday. More Trending In addition to the lot number mentioned by Costco, bottles with 11A2543 and 12A2543 can also be returned for a refund or exchanged, said the spokesperson. Customers with questions should call the Coca-Cola Company. Coca-Cola acquired Topo Chico in 2017 in a reported $220million deal. Coca-Cola also owns the drink brands Sprite, Powerade, Vitamin Water, Dasani, Fairlife and BODYARMOR. The recall comes two-and-a-half months after the company recalled more than 10,000 cans of Coca-Cola over concerns of plastic contamination. Gordon Ramsay jets to Miami for the Grand Prix just hours after partying in London with the Beckhams... but his F1 superfan daughter Holly misses the race after food poisoning
Gordon Ramsay arrived at the Miami Grand Prix paddock on Sunday for the Formula One after partying in London at David Beckham's 50th birthday the night before. The TV chef, 58, looked in high spirits as he walked hand-in-hand with wife Tana as they headed inside the Miami International Autodrome ahead of the race. Gordon cut a casual figure in a black short sleeved T-shirt which he paired with jeans and blue sports trainers. Meanwhile Tana looked trendy in a black summer midi dress and kept comfortable in a pair of trainers. The couple were all smiles as they held hands after jetting to Florida following football legend David's very lavish dinner at Core restaurant in London's Notting Hill on Saturday night. Elsewhere Gordon and Tana's daughter Holly Ramsay was forced to miss the race due to food poisoning. The influencer took to Instagram to share a selfie in bed surrounded by liquid I.V., Vitamin Water and crisps. She penned: 'Imagine waking up with FOOD POISONING on race day'. Holly also shared a snap as she watched the intense race from bed and added: 'Not where I planned on watching the race from but incredibly grateful to @andazmiamibeach for looking after me'. Gordon was later seen wearing his chef whites as he checked his phone while walking through the paddock. The celebrity chef watched McLaren's Oscar Piastri win the Miami Grand Prix, his third victory in succession and fourth of the season, from a private suite. The 24-year-old Australian driver holds a 16-point lead over team-mate Lando Norris, who was runner-up on the day followed by Mercedes' George Russell. It comes after Gordon and wife Tana put on a stylish display as they stepped out in London for Beckham's 50th bash. The Hell's Kitchen star wore a stylish white tuxedo to the event in Notting Hill, which lasted into the early hours of the morning. The couple were all smiles as they held hands after jetting to Florida following football legend David's very lavish dinner at Core restaurant in London's Notting Hill on Saturday night Tana meanwhile, wore a long, grey silk gown, paired with a bejewelled clutch bag and gold, open-toed heels. She put on a youthful display, wearing minimal makeup and styling her brown hair in long, flowing locks. Gordon and Tana, who married in 1996, are longstanding friends of the Beckhams and have even been pictured on double dates with the couple. Gordon later took to Instagram after the party to describe it as a 'fantastic night' and to send 'lots of love' to the Beckhams. The couple's mutual friendship is reported to date back to 2006 when Gordon catered for the Beckham's pre-World Cup party. Their friendship is said to have grown even closer when both families decided to move stateside to Los Angeles. Last night's bash was held at the three Michelin restaurant Core by Clare Smyth, where diners can expect to pay a minimum of £420 a head for the seven-course tasting menu. Tuxedos were the order of the day for the male attendees at the party and football pundit Gary Neville, 50, dressed to impress in a dashing number as he was one of the first to arrive. Dave Gardner, 47, also opted for a white tuxedo, as he posed for a picture with stunning Victoria's Secret model girlfriend Jessica Clarke, 31. Other big names in attendance were Tom Cruise, 62, and his rumoured actress girlfriend, Ana De Armas, 37. The actor was notably snapped looking worse for wear as he exited the upmarket restaurant at around 3:30am on Sunday morning. David has previously insisted that turning 50 does not bother him one bit and he is incredibly content with his lot in life. David has been enjoying several parties to celebrate his milestone birthday, kicking off celebrations in Miami last month.

Mike Repole Returns to Derby With ‘Grande' Horse, Small Expectations
Mike Repole deeply wants to win the Kentucky Derby, but he arrives at Churchill Downs this week with tempered expectations. The billionaire sports business executive, who is a co-founder of BodyArmor and Vitamin Water, has his 2025 hopes pinned to his 3-year-old colt Grande. Repole's horse carries 22-1 odds—an implied probability of winning below 5%—which is a vastly different outlook than last year when Repole owned the favorite Fierceness, who finished in 15th place despite a strong start. Advertisement More from 'There's a lot less pressure,' Repole said in a phone interview. 'I'm going in with an incredibly low expectation. I'm really feeling good right now, to be honest.' Repole, the owner of Repole Stable, purchased Grande for $300,000 in a yearlings sale in September 2023. Earlier this month, Grande finished second to fellow Derby starter Rodriguez in the Wood Memorial Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack in Repole's hometown of Queens, N.Y., qualifying Repole for the Derby at the same track where he grew up going to races. Grande enters the Derby with the No. 10 post position and is looking to become just the fifth horse to win the Derby with only three career starts of experience (with the latest being Mage in 2023). The horse, sired by two-time Horse of the Year Curlin, will have jockey John Velazquez in the saddle and is guided by Hall of Fame trainer Todd Pletcher. Both Repole and Pletcher have been in business together since 2009, steadily growing their relationship beyond a typical client-partner type. Advertisement 'Our relationship has really grown through adversity,' said Repole, who introduced two-time Derby winner Pletcher at his Hall of Fame ceremony in 2021. 'We've had a ton of highs, but we became closer through how we handled the lows together.' One of the lowest moments between the two came two years ago when early favorite Forte was scratched just hours before the Derby due to concerns over a bruised foot. Twelve years earlier, another one of their horses, Uncle Mo, was scratched from the event due to illness. Repole, who is 0-for-8 in the Run for the Roses,, says that he's grateful for the Derby experiences despite the heartache that has come in Louisville, Ky. He's back in town to compete in the 20-horse race for the fifth straight time, a feat that he doesn't take for granted, noting more than 20,000 thoroughbreds are born every year. Repole, who is featured in the new Netflix series Race for the Crown, will be accompanied at the Derby by roughly 75 close friends, family members and longtime business associates. The gathering is a tradition for Repole, who acquired athletic brand NOBULL in 2023 and remains a big booster for his alma mater St. John's. He uses the first weekend in May as a moment to enjoy the Derby festivities with his inner circle. Repole joked that he's looking to win the $3 million first-place prize so he can 'break even' on the trip given the pricy accommodations between travel and hotel costs. Advertisement 'One of the things about being blessed financially is the ability to share experiences with people,' he said. 'To me, it's like a three-day holiday weekend.' Coca-Cola to close Napa County bottling plant, affecting 135 jobs
The Coca-Cola Co. is moving forward with plans to permanently close its bottling facility in Napa County. The closure of the American Canyon plant by June 30 will impact 135 workers at the site, which has been operational since 1994, according to regulatory filings with state and local authorities. Located at 1201 Commerce Blvd., the facility spans 350,000 square feet across 17 acres and produces a range of beverages, including Powerade, Minute Maid, Vitamin Water and Gold Peak Tea. The closure, originally announced in 2021 and initially scheduled for 2023, is part of Coca-Cola's broader 'asset right' strategy to optimize its resources in response to shifting consumer preferences. The Georgia company has been shifting its focus toward brand management rather than production, which has led to a series of plant closures and restructuring efforts, including a deal with Dutch beverage company Refresco to take over some bottling operations. 'We did not make this decision lightly and are grateful to have had the opportunity to have been a part of the American Canyon community,' a spokesperson for the company said in a statement. Coca-Cola acquired the American Canyon facility in 2002, following an earlier expansion of the site in 2000. Originally established by Pokka Beverages, the plant was part of Coca-Cola's West Coast expansion strategy.

This popular hydration drink is now available on Amazon
Unless you've been living under a rock, chances are you've heard of the podcast Call Her Daddy. The podcast has thousands of positive reviews and is one of the most listened-to podcasts. It's so popular that it's turned the creator and host of the podcast, Alex Cooper, into a bit of a celebrity. Fans say they love how Cooper cuts through the noise and talks frankly about things that impact women. So, late last year, people were intrigued when Cooper announced she was launching a drink called Unwell Hydration. When she launched the line, Cooper said she created it specifically for women because she believed staying hydrated was one way that women could stay on top of the many things they juggle. It was also just announced as the official beverage of the National Women's Soccer League. Initially, Unwell Hydration was launched exclusively at Target, but today you can also get it on Amazon. The online retailer is selling 12-packs of each of the three flavors — strawberry, mango citrus and orange hibiscus — for $25. You can learn more about the drink below. Unwell Hydration Drink Unwell Hydration has a catchy tagline: 'For all of life's unwell moments — girls trips, breakups, morning afters, return flights, recoveries, hangovers.' But you can drink it anytime you want extra electrolytes — like you might reach for a Gatorade or Vitamin Water. The biggest difference between those drinks and Unwell Hydration is that it contains 75 milligrams of natural green coffee extract, just under the amount of caffeine you'd get in a cup of coffee. The beverage also has 700 milligrams of electrolytes and contains a custom vitamin B blend, according to the brand. It is also free of artificial flavors and colors. There are three flavors of Unwell Hydration currently available — strawberry, mango citrus and orange hibiscus — and one bottle of this drink is 25 calories. If you purchase the beverage on Amazon, you can buy each flavor in a pack of 12 for $24.68 and Prime members will get free shipping. Why trust NBC Select?
