A NEPO baby with a Hollywood superstar parent has hit back at critics after landing his very first record deal. The 21-year-old budding star has put a pause on his college studies in order to sign his first recording contract and pursue music professionally - but can you work out who his A-list father is? 7 7 7 Magnus Ferrell, is the son of comedy legend Will Ferrell, and has admitted he still has to prove himself as a musician despite his staggering connections across the entertainment industry. Magnus and Will have worked together musically many times with the pair staging a series of DJ sets with one another. However, Magnus is now keen to step out on his own with his music. In a new interview with US Weekly, Magnus revealed that he had been handed opportunities thanks to his famous connections but that he had still been forced to prove himself despite this. He chatted to the publication backstage at US music event Wango Tango for leading radio station, KIIS FM. Magnus said: "Sure, there's been opportunities, and I've gotten extra opportunities because of my parents, but I still had to show up for the occasion. "I still feel like I have to prove myself, and I'm going to continue to prove myself just because it's what I love to do, and I obsess over it. 'I know I can't think about anybody else besides the music, and I'm excited to show the world." Magnus is the eldest son of Will and has two younger brothers - Mattias, 18, and Axel, 14. Last year, Magnus and Will could be seen jamming out with each other at a college party where Magnus invited his father to help with his DJ set. Speaking about his musical influences, Magnus recently revealed: 'I love Stevie Wonder. I love Michael Jackson, anything Soul Train and also some jazz influences. "I'm a jazz piano player from the start. "How I met some of my closest friends was from jazz piano, so it's just what I call groove therapy.' 7 7 7
