Van left on roof following A44 collision near Llandrindod
A VAN was left on its roof following a two-vehicle collision near Llandrindod Wells over the weekend. The accident occurred on the A44 between Crossgates and Penybont at around lunchtime on Saturday, May 31, resulting in the road being closed for almost two hours. 'Dyfed-Powys Police attended to a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A44 between Crossgates and Penybont at around 1.50pm on Saturday, May 31,' said the force in a statement. 'The road was closed while both vehicles were recovered and reopened at around 3.20pm. No injuries were reported.' Police said the vehicles involved were a Renault Clio and a grey Volkswagen Transporter. A post on the Llandrindod Solutions Facebook page shortly before 3pm said: 'There's a car accident with van on its roof just coming into Crossgates under the first bridge. 'Road completely blocked if anyone is going that way. Police and fire brigade on scene.'

Man, 71, dies after crash on M6
A man has died after being injured in a crash on the M6 in Cheshire. The 71-year-old was driving a Volkswagen Transporter van between junctions 16 for Crewe and 17 for Sandbach when the vehicle was involved in a crash with an unknown vehicle at about 06:15 BST on 23 May. The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he had since died, Cheshire Police said. The other vehicle left the scene after the crash and the force said officers were working to identify the driver. Van driver arrested after biker dies in collision
A van driver has been arrested after a motorcyclist died in a collision on a rural road. Cambridgeshire Police said emergency services were called to Branch Bank, between Littleport and Queen Adelaide, near Ely, at about 14:00 BST on Friday. The rider of the red Triumph motorbike, a 34-year-old man from Uckfield in East Sussex, died at the scene. A 50-year-old man from Southery, Norfolk, who was driving a Volkswagen Transporter, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. Det Sgt Craig Wheeler appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident to get in touch.
