Kuwait Club wins seventh Volleyball Super Cup

KUWAIT CITY, April 12: Kuwait Club secured its seventh Volleyball Super Cup title by defeating Al-Arabi 3-0 in the final, with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, and 25-18 at the Volleyball Association Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex. The team was crowned by Federation President Dr. Jaber Al-Marri, Assistant Secretary General Nayef Al-Khamili, Chairman of the Competitions Committee Dr. Jaber Al-Sharif, Kuwait Club President Khaled Al-Ghanim, and club board member Balsam Al-Ayoub. Al-Qadsiya Club has won the Super Cup once, while Kazma Club has claimed it twice. In related news, the Volleyball Association's Competitions Committee has revised the schedules for the Premier League, Golden Square, and First Division League. This adjustment was made following a request from the national team coach, Argentinian Julian Alvarez, who sought sufficient time for the Blues to prepare for the upcoming West Asian Championship in Bahrain, set to begin on July 1. The Premier League, which was initially divided into two divisions before the Golden Square, will now be a single division. It starts today with matches between Kuwait and Burgan and Al-Shabab and Al-Qadsiya, and will conclude on May 29. The Golden Square will begin with the Premier League final on May 2 and conclude on May 13. Meanwhile, the First Division League will begin tomorrow, Monday, and will be split into two divisions, with the season concluding on May 10.
