Summary
Pusha Ttakes aim atTravis Scottin the latestClipsesingle, 'So Be It.'
The track hears Push andMaliceglide over production work fromPharrell, with the former directly calling out La Flame in a fiery verse. 'You cried in front of me, you died in front of me/Calabasas took your b*tch and your pride in front of me/HeardUTOPIAhad moved right up the street/And her lip gloss was poppin', she ain't need you to eat,' he raps, namedropping theCactus Jackartist's latest album and even alluding to Scott's breakup withKylie Jenner, with whom he shares two kids with.
The Clipse member confirmed that he has a bone to pick with Scott. He toldGQthat it began when the latter playedUTOPIAfor Pharrell atLouis VuittonHQ, when Clipse was also present and working. Push explained that the version of 'Meltdown' — a track that featured a verse fromDrakedissing P — that was played that day didn't include Drizzy.
Pusha T wasn't a fan of the fact that Drake's verse was included after Scott played the track for Pharrell. He alleged that Scott lacks loyalty, and takes sides when it's convenient for him. 'He's done this a lot. He has no picks. He'll do this with anybody. He did it with 'Sicko Mode'… He was on the [Rolling Loud] stage like, 'Play that, play that,'' he continued, referring to the Future, Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar's 'Like That' — the diss track that elevated Drake and Dot's feud. 'He don't have no picks, no loyalty to nobody. He'll jump around whatever he feels is hot or cling onto whatever he feels is hot.'
He added, 'So, that's where my issue comes in — like, dawg, don't even come over here with that, because at the end of the day, I don't play how y'all play. To me, that really was just like … He's a wh*re. He's a wh*re.'
In addition to the release of 'So Be It,' Clipse also unveiled an alternateVerdycover for their upcoming albumLet God Sort Em Out. The reveal includes a merch lineup featuring branded T-shirts in the style of Verdy, graphics with Vick, a vinyl LP, CD and cassette.
