Who died in the White Lotus season 3 finale? The third season of the wildly popular Max series, The White Lotus, wrapped up on Sunday night. Over the course of seven episodes, tension built as to which character -- and how many -- would not make it through the eighth and final episode. WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE WHITE LOTUS SEASON 3 FINALE TO FOLLOW! WHITE LOTUS MEMES ARE EVERYWHERE: Thanks, Walton Goggins There were at least two deaths this season, with a likely third character's death extremely likely but unconfirmed. After parting ways during last week's episode, Rick (Walton Goggins) seemed to find peace with the situation around the man he thought murdered his father. That was until Jim Hollinger (Scott Glenn) returned to the resort. Things went off the rails, with Rick confronting Hollinger and shooting him twice in the chest before being informed that Hollinger was his father. A shootout ensued between Rick and security, which ended with the lovely and delightful Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) getting killed in the crossfire. But they weren't done yet. After Rick realized what had happened, he scooped up his girlfriend and started to walk out of the resort. Instead, security guard Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong) shot Rick in the back, sending both into the lily pad covered water. It wasn't fully clear if Hollinger died, although all signs pointed aggressively to yes. There was a moment during the episode where it looked as though Timothy Ratliff (Jason Isaacs) was going to avoid his troubles back home and take out his entire family -- minus youngest son Lochlan (Sam Nivola) -- with a smoothie made from deadly fruit seeds. Instead, he came to his senses and stopped them before the damage was done. But Lochlan, who apparently can't clean a blender, made himself a morning smoothie complete with poison remnants. He recovered, but things looked dicey for awhile. Now, the Ratliff family has to go back to North Carolina to face with Tim's business problems.

'The White Lotus' actress says character was originally supposed to have non-binary child
Print Close By Jeffrey Clark Published March 31, 2025 Actress Carrie Coon revealed that her character in the popular HBO show "The White Lotus" was supposed to reveal that she had a non-binary child in a deleted scene written before President Donald Trump won the 2024 election. "You originally found out that her daughter was actually nonbinary, maybe trans, and going by they/them," Coon told Harper's Bazaar in an interview. "You see Laurie struggling to explain it to her friends, struggling to use they/them pronouns, struggling with the language, which was all interesting." Her character's friend Kate, who is played by Leslie Bibb, revealed in the third episode of season three that she supported Trump in a scene that went viral online. Her longtime liberal best friends Laurie and Jaclyn, played by Michelle Monaghan, pushed Kate into admitting how she voted during a discussion about religion and politics in the show. Laurie and Jaclyn live in New York City and Los Angeles respectively, while Kate lives in Austin, a notoriously blue stronghold in the red state of Texas. Kate maintained that she was an independent but admitted at dinner that her husband, Dave, was a member of the Republican Party. Coon explained in an interview that the deleted scene of Laurie explaining that her child is non-binary was an important part of her character development in the show and made her friend's Republican leanings even more significant. "It was only a short scene, but for me, it did make the question of whether Kate voted for Trump so much more provocative and personally offensive to Laurie, considering who her child is in the world," Coon said. "The season was written before the election," Coon said. "And considering the way the Trump administration has weaponized the cultural war against transgender people even more since then, when the time came to cut the episode down, Mike [White] felt that the scene was so small and the topic so big that it wasn't the right way to engage in that conversation." People Are Only Just Realising Where They've Seen Greg From The White Lotus Before
Fans of The White Lotus knew going into the series that the new cast was an especially star-studded one, but there was one familiar face that they hadn't prepared for seeing. When the new season got underway, the first episode reintroduced us to Greg, now known as Gary, otherwise known as the husband of Jennifer Coolidge's iconic character Tanya, who was ultimately responsible for her demise. Actor Jon Gries – who plays the wealthy so-called LBH (which stands for 'loser back home' in the series) – is the only person to have appeared in all three seasons of the Emmy-winning series, and it's taken some viewers that long to work out where they actually know him from. Patrick Schwarzenegger denies he got The White Lotus role because of his father
Patrick Schwarzenegger has denied that he got his role in The White Lotus because of his Golden Globe-winning father, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The 31-year-old plays Saxon Ratliff, the eldest son of a wealthy family, in the third season of the popular black comedy drama. But has denied that the opportunity had anything to do with his industry connections. Patrick is the son of the Terminator star and former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger, and his former wife and niece of former president John F Kennedy, Maria Shriver. The couple ended their relationship after 25 years of marriage in 2011. They share four children together. The Total Recall actor also shares a child with his former housekeeper, Mildred Baena. 'I know there are people who'll say I only got this role because of who my dad is,' Patrick, 31, told The Sunday Times. 'They're not seeing that I've had 10 years of acting classes, put on [high] school plays every week, worked on my characters for hours on end or the hundreds of rejected auditions I've been on.' He added' 'Of course, it's frustrating and you can get boxed in and you think at that moment, I wish I didn't have my last name. But, that's a small moment. I would never trade my life with anyone. I'm very fortunate to have the life and family that I have, the parents I have and the lessons and values they've instilled in me.' Patrick explained that winning the role was a surreal experience. 'I thought, 'There's no way I'm going to get this, everybody is up for this.' I've been a massive fan of the show since day one.' He added:'It was my dream goal, I think I manifested it.' Fans were unimpressed with the comments as one wrote on social media: 'Patrick Schwarzenegger NEPO BABY tries to deny his FAMOUS PARENTS had anything to do with his ROLE on WHITE LOTUS, despite having no discernible talent.' His father commented on a nude scene in the show earlier this month, saying: 'I could claim to be surprised to find out he has a nude scene, but what can I say – the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Don't miss it this Sunday – trust me.' The satirical series follows the exploits of rich and troubled guests and charismatic employees at the luxury resort chain The White Lotus. While the setting seems tranquil, things quickly descend into chaos as the lives of the holidaymakers unravel into a darker reality.
