The third-generation, family-owned restaurant serves traditional Portuguese cuisine. DEA: Fentanyl seized during search of Providence car wash
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) continues to investigate after searching a Providence car wash on Thursday. The DEA confirmed Friday that fentanyl was seized from Kings Car Wash, but didn't provide any further information about the active investigation. Agents were seen Thursday removing evidence from the Douglas Avenue business, and at least one person appeared to have been detained. No arrest details have been released so far. Kings Car Wash is not registered with the city, according to a Providence spokesperson. During Thursday's search, activists lined up across the street and used a bullhorn to remind any detainees of their rights. Providence police told 12 News they responded for public safety reasons, but they're not involved in the federal investigation.
