Storms expected throughout Memorial Day Weekend
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Unfortunately, we have rain in the forecast every day over Memorial Day weekend. The forecast has led Memphis in May to transition this year's Great American River Run to a virtual race. Expect thunderstorms Saturday morning through early afternoon before we dry out mid to late afternoon. A few of those storms may be strong to severe, with wind and hail being the main threats, though a rogue tornado isn't completely out of the question. WREG Memphis Area Weather Expect a similar forecast on Sunday, with morning storms clearing in the afternoon. Even though the severe weather parameters aren't particularly impressive, there still is some chance that a few storms could be strong or severe. Expect more thunderstorms on Monday, which could last a lot of the day. Be sure to download the WREG Weather APP when you are 'on the go' and the WREG+ APP for your smart TV at home.
