Wabash Valley Railroad Museum celebrating a big milestone this year

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Wabash Valley Railroad Museum is celebrating 25 years of serving as a tribute to the past, present, and future of the railroad industry. The local museum features several train cars and equipment, including the Haley Tower which was served as an in-service railroad interlock tower for over a century. 'This is our 25th anniversary of actually having the place open to the public,' said Bill Foster, President of the Wabash Valley Railroad Museum. 'Come out, and hang out, watch trains, and check out some of the local unique stuff we have here from railroad history.' At the museum, attendees have the opportunity to see preserved archives, practice controlling railroad traffic, and overlook the cabin of the train. Admission is just $7 and kids under 5 get in for free. The local museum plans to have more upcoming events throughout the summer. The Wabash Valley Railroad Museum is opened 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays only from May-October. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
