Six Love Island contestants have officially been confirmed as of 3rd June 2025.
The show revealed the first set of Islanders on their official X (formerly Twitter) page this morning.
First up, Sophie, Dejon and Meg were announced as the first three contestants taking part this year.
"Babe, wake up! The first few Islanders have just been officially announced... Meet Sophie, Dejon and Meg," read a Tweet alongside a picture of three islanders looking glam in their swimwear.
Another announcement came an hour later, with Tommy, Alima and Ben confirmed to be joining the original trio.
"Announcement from gate two: The second batch of Islanders are boarding Meet Tommy, Alima and Ben," the show added.
Former fire-breather Sophie was one of the rumoured contestants said to be joining the show, with the hope of raising body positivity, after a fire breathing accident left her with severe burns to the face.
"Sophie is a gorgeous girl and a powerhouse of a woman who has overcome everything life has thrown at her," a source told The Sun.
"Just like Tasha Ghouri's amazing time in the villa where she raised awareness for the hearing impaired, Love Island bosses are thrilled to give Sophie the same platform to discuss her accident and how she's become comfortable in her skin since.
Dejon is no stranger to the celebrity world, as his dad is former professional footballer, Gifton Noel-Williams, 45, who has played for Stoke City, Waford and Burnley to name a few.
Payroll specialist Meg, 25, hails from Southampton and is hoping to find the someone "tall" with a nice tan. Meanwhile Alima, 23, is looking for her "Disney Prince".
Tommy is the youngest contestant so far at just 22-years-old, and he's after an "ambitious" woman to go by his side.
As for Ben, his head will turn for "someone sexy, good looking, [with] good chat, good vibes, nice teeth and good eye contact."
Love Island starts on ITV2 on Monday 9th June at 9pm.
