Punit Bhatia on visiting Kedarnath: I feel like my heart and mind are still there
Television actor Punit Bhatia, recognised for roles in shows like 'Chhoti Sardarni,' recently fulfilled his long-awaited dream of visiting Kedarnath. Television actor Punit Bhatia, known for his roles in popular Hindi shows like Chhoti Sardarni, Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet, and Wagle Ki Duniya, recently fulfilled a long-awaited dream by visiting Kedarnath. Sharing about his recent trip, he says, 'Kedarnath trip was on my to-do list for the longest time. I am so glad that I was able to go there this time around. Whenever I thought of planning it, I was caught up in shoots and somehow never made it. Every time I planned, I ended up visiting nearby places instead. A few months ago, I went to Kedareshwar Cave Temple in Harishchandragad, Maharashtra. But this time, Lord Shiva finally called me. ' The actor visited the holy site with friends and described the experience as transformative. 'It's a trip I'll always remember. I feel like my heart and mind are still there. The natural beauty, the fresh air, the energy—it makes you forget all worries. I'm falling short of words to describe it,' says Punit. However, Punit also urged caution for future visitors. He shares, 'It's getting crowded. I'd suggest planning carefully and checking weather updates. I came across rain alerts while I was there.' Punit, who was last seen as Ishan in the Punjabi show Shivika – Sath Yugan Yugan, is currently in his hometown, Chandigarh, spending time with family. He plans to return to Mumbai in a few days to resume work. 'This break was much needed after a hectic work schedule,' he said. 'Now I'm ready to explore new acting opportunities. I'd love to take on a challenging role and reconnect with my audience.'

Rashami Desai on delving into Gujarati industry: The positivity that I received from the Gujarati audience is incredible
With a career spanning across mediums, actor Rashami Desai added another feather to her cap with her debut in Gujarati theatre with the play Mrs Mara Online Che. Calling it a new beginning, she says, 'This is the best possible medium of acting where you learn the craft like never before. I have been inclined towards theatre in the past as well, and I am loving every bit of it.' However, performing in front of a live audience came with its own set of challenges. 'The biggest pressure is the fact that it's a live audience. While shooting in other mediums, you can have multiple cuts and retakes, but in the theatre, it has to be perfect in the first and only attempt. You need a tremendous amount of practice and rehearsal and coordination with other actors since the background doesn't change. The stage remains the same,' Rashami Desai shares. Apart from theatre, Rashami recently did a Gujarati film too, titled Mom Tane Nai Samjay. Rekindling her roots and serving her regional audience has been a special feeling for her. 'It feels amazing, and the love and positivity that I received from the Gujarati audience is incredible. It just makes me hungrier to do even better work in this language as an artiste,' she says. While she has worked on all mediums, be it films, television, OTT or theatre, it's the small screen that made her a household name. But it's been a while since she was last seen on it. Apart from small cameos in Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey this year and Naagin 6 in 2022, Rashami's last full-fledged TV role was in Naagin 4 in 2020. Has she bid adieu to the medium for good now? 'I have definitely not quit television,' she states, adding, 'The medium has given me so much and I can only have love and gratitude towards it. If there's anything special that comes to me, I would love to do it. Every artiste can do every medium. Let's be more open about this.' Ask her if the quality of content is the issue due to which she hasn't done a TV show in a while, and the actor says, 'Entertainment industry at the end of the day is business, so when content is made, the commercial angle is taken into consideration. Maybe it's this reason why at times, content on TV might look repetitive. But content is made catering to the preference of the audience. Of course, there's room to do better, but I have full faith in the industry.'

Exclusive: Wagle Ki Duniya actor Sheehan Kapahi shares his summer vacation plans; says ‘My mom has made it very clear that it's time to focus on studies'
While most teenagers are packing their bags for a summer getaway or lounging through their school break, 14-year-old Wagle Ki Duniya actor Sheehan Kapahi is navigating a different path—one that balances board exam prep with shooting for a beloved television show. In an exclusive conversation with Times of India TV, Sheehan opened up about his summer plans, academic pressure, and the bittersweet joys of growing up in front of the camera. For Sheehan, this summer looks quite different from the typical break. 'I had earlier planned a trip to my hometown,' he shared, 'but later my summer plans shifted. Instead of travelling, my mom has made it very clear that it's time to buckle down and focus on studies, especially since I'm in 10th grade and board exams are coming up!' While vacations may be off the table, Sheehan remains upbeat. 'Alongside that, I've been shooting for Wagle Ki Duniya, which keeps me busy. It's hectic, yes. But I'm doing something I love, so I feel lucky.' Balancing academics with acting is no easy task, especially for a student entering the crucial board exam year. Sheehan explained how he manages the tightrope walk. 'Honestly, it takes a lot of coordination and a lot of patience! I think I've become our EP's biggest troublemaker on set (in a good way). I'm always asking if there's a gap in the shoot schedule so I can study, or requesting scenes to be moved around to make time for tuitions. ' He adds with gratitude, 'The entire team is really supportive. They make sure I get enough time for my academics, which helps me manage both without too much stress.' Despite the support, there are moments when Sheehan feels the sting of missing a 'normal' summer. 'My friends are out visiting their grandparents, playing cricket, or just hanging out, and I sometimes wish I could join them,' he admitted. 'But then I remind myself how special this opportunity is. Not every 14-year-old gets to be part of a show like Wagle Ki Duniya, which is so loved and meaningful.' When it comes to unwinding, Sheehan knows how to make the most of his limited free time. 'If I'm too tired to step out, we set up an online gaming session, that way we can still hang out virtually. On days when I just want to unwind, I love sitting down with my parents to watch a movie at home.' More than just a job, Wagle Ki Duniya has become a learning ground for Sheehan. 'Being part of this show has been an education in itself. It's taught me discipline, time management, and how to handle responsibility at a young age,' he said. 'Sometimes I learn from the scripts, and sometimes just by watching and talking to the amazing people around me.' As he juggles school, work, and personal growth, one thing's clear—Sheehan Kapahi is not just acting in a family drama; he's living one, full of lessons, laughter, and dreams.

A still from Wagle Ki Duniya - Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey The loyal audience of Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey, who were disappointed by reports of the show going off air, now have a reason to celebrate. The slice-of-life series, featuring Bharati Achrekar, Aanjjan Srivastav, Pariva Pranati , and Sumeet Raghavan in lead roles, was originally scheduled to wrap up on June 7. However, it has now been granted a three-month extension. Producer JD Majethia confirms the development. 'The news about the show ending was everywhere, but I had faith in it. When the final shoot date was approaching, Sumeet asked for an extra day just to close things properly. And now, we're back to filming for three more months. When I informed the team, it was received positively.' Majethia credits viewer support for this decision. 'A few days ago, I saw the hashtag '#SaveWagleKiDuniya' trending.
