The following obituaries are from the Dec. 31, 2009 print edition of the Chaska Herald newspaper: Jeanette (Geis) Robling Jeanette Robling, 72, of Jordan, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 30, from 4-8 p.m. at Wagner Funeral Home and one hour prior to the Mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Robling will be held Thursday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan. Wagner Funeral Home in Jordan provided arrangements; 952-492-3366. A full obituary will appear in the Jan. 7 issue. Rose Marie Tellers Rose Marie (Spandl) Tellers, 93, of Chaska, died peacefully on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Chaska, with Father Paul Jarvis celebrating. The visitation was held Monday, Dec. 28, from 4-8 p.m. at the Bertas Funeral Home, Chaska. Casketbearers were Steve Spandl, Jerry Poole, Tom Gahm, Peter Gladky, Michael T. Lehne, and Jon Daniels. Burial was at Guardian Angels Catholic Cemetery, Chaska. Rose was born Dec. 14, 1916 in Cologne, to Michael and Helena (Nieters) Spandl, one of 10 children. She was baptized at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Cologne, and graduated from Carver High School. On April 18, 1942, Rose married Wilbur Tellers at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Chaska. They had three children. Rose was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella, and a 59-year member of the Chaska American Legion Auxiliary. She helped her husband Wilbur, who died in 1996, as office manager for Tellers Electric for many years. She loved to travel, especially on tours with the Minnesota Electric Association, enjoyed arts and crafts, and made the best apple pie. She especially loved the Christmas holiday season and loved to decorate her Christmas tree with ornaments she made or received as gifts. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur; brothers, Gervase, Norbert, and Gerald Spandl; sisters, Esther Savelkoul, Irene Hummel, Avellena Bonsteel, Clara Savelkoul, Kay Stewart, and Mary Ann Poole. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John and Josephine of Wheeling, daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Michael Lehne of Chaska; daughter, Mary Tellers of Chaska; grandchildren, Mitchell and Jack; great- grandson, Riley; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Spandl of Eden Prairie, Cathy Spandl of Mesa, Ariz. Funeral arrangements were with the Bertas Funeral Home of Chaska, 952-448-2137. Paul Joseph Kerber Paul Kerber, 87, of Chaska, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 at his home in Chaska. Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Chaska, with Father Paul Jarvis celebrating. Visitation was Sunday from 4-8 p.m. with prayer service at 7:30 at the Bertas Funeral Home, Chaska. Visitation was also one hour prior to the service Monday at church. Casketbearers were Jeff Kerber, Brian Kerber, Randy Kerber, Eric Kerber, Mike Kerber, Joe Kerber, Tim Kerber and Terry Kerber. Interment at Guardian Angels Catholic Cemetery, Chaska. Paul was born July 1, 1922 in Chanhassen, to Joseph and Mary (Klein) Kerber. He was one of nine children. Paul was baptized and confirmed at St. Hubert's Catholic Church in Chanhassen. He graduated from Chaska High School in 1940. On July 5, 1945 he married Julianne R. Fritz at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. They had four sons. Paul LOVED baseball, especially the Minnesota Twins, and he played for the Carver Black Sox. He instilled the love of baseball in his sons. Paul was a past president of the Carver Lions. He enjoyed painting, generally hanging out in the shed or garage where he did woodworking. While chasing around his four sons he still managed to keep the garden and the yard looking great. Paul had an amazing sense of humor and was always ready with a joke. Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph and Mary; brother, Lee; brothers-in-law, Arnie Thoresen and Jim Grommesch. Survivors include his wife, Julianne 'Judy'; sons, Jeff and wife Pam of Tumecula, Calif., Brian and wife Bunny of Melbourne, Fla., Randy Kerber of Chaska, Eric Kerber of Richfield; brother, Art Kerber and wife Darlene of Chanhassen; sisters, Angie Thoresen of Richfield, Theresa Grommesch of Shakopee, Patrica 'Patsy' Weekley of Minnetonka, Marie Travers and husband Jim of Hemet, Calif., Marge Ehr and husband Bob of Savage; sister-in-law, Pat Kerber of Chanhassen; grandchildren, Chris Zidar, Katie Zidar-Colt, Brianne, Arianna, Bradley and Chelsea Kerber; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements were with the Bertas Funeral Home of Chaska, 952-448-2137.
