F1 Movie Preview Tickets At Rs 1,700? Internet Shifts To Meme Mode
Ahead of the film's June 27 release, Warner Bros. has organised previews for the film across PVR and INOX outlets in India. As excitement revs up for the release of F1: The Movie, the makers have announced special paid previews ahead of its official theatrical debut on Friday, June 27. These early screenings will take place starting June 25 at select IMAX and INOX theatres across India. But what's grabbing more attention than the film itself is the skyrocketing ticket prices. Fans are stunned to find that preview tickets are being sold for as much as Rs 1,700 per seat, depending on the theatre and seating class. The steep pricing has sparked a flurry of reactions on social media, with many questioning whether the early viewing experience is worth the premium cost. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Warner Bros. India (@warnerbrosindia) For the paid previews in Mumbai, PVR Icon at Phoenix Palladium, Lower Parel, is offering classic tickets from Rs 330 to Rs 510, with the rates spiking to Rs 1,710 for recliners. Likewise, ticket prices at INOX outlets remain significantly lower than PVRs. With previews now scheduled for the entire week before the film premieres globally, several posts have surfaced with fans' criticism of the higher ticket prices. One of them shared a screenshot of the booking page and wrote, 'Fan first screenings = charging 1200 for IMAX, where even weekend prices are 550-600 for normal seats (same cinema hall). @WarnerBrosIndia @DenzD @_PVRCinemas you people are blood-sucking monsters."
