All the upcoming theme parks and experiences coming to the UAE Theme parks Disneyland Abu Dhabi Disney fans in the UAE, get excited! We are finally getting a Disneyland right here in the UAE. It will be located on the Yas Island waterfront, with the project being Disney's seventh entertainment destination in the world. Miral will be responsible for the development and construction of the project, while Disney will oversee the creative aspects and provide operational support. This will include design elements of the attraction to ensure it is in line with all things magical. You can read more about this upcoming attraction here. Harry Potter theme park Wizards, witches, muggles… we broke the news that a Harry Potter theme park is coming to Abu Dhabi back in 2022. It will be located in one of the world's largest indoor theme parks – Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi and will be the first Harry Potter theme park to ever open in the Middle East. Opening soon: Yas Waterworld Expansion – Yas Island Back in November 2023, it was announced that the city's most fun waterpark is going to get grander than ever. And now, we have just gotten the exciting news from Miral that the expansion is now ready and will open to the public over the summer. The expansion will include 12 new rides and slides, which will be open for guests of all ages, so no one misses out on the fun. In total, the number of experiences adds up to over 57 rides, slides, and attractions. In addition to the attractions, we can expect several new dining offers. The best (and worst) airline activity kits for children
You don't want your child to be the one who's endlessly kicking the person in the seat in front, or screaming at the top of their lungs, or stuck on an iPad from London to Sydney. But, if your brood is of a certain age, preventing any of the above from happening involves a great deal of parental input. Luckily, a number of airlines are happy to help by providing child passengers with complimentary activity packs. Some will give you a couple of moments' peace, others may well become keepsakes. With the help of an expert panel of young testers and their parents, as well as educational consultant (and mum to kids aged one and five) Ruth Lue-Quee, we've reviewed the offerings of six airlines to see exactly what's inside. Read on to discover their favourites… Virgin The details A red duffle bag containing a fidget toy keyring, mini aviator sunglasses with UV400 protection, a set of coloured pencils and two booklets ('my flying activity book' and 'my holiday activity journal'). Available at UK airport gates for those aged two-12. The verdict Our oldest testers loved this one, especially the fidget toy keyring (which is similar to the patches that Amelie, aged 12, and her friends have on their phone cases). Meanwhile, Sonny (10) liked the idea of using the bag for his PE kit post-holiday. The little ones had great fun with the sunglasses and parents liked the fact that they could be used while away, though we found them too small on all our testers aged seven and over. The booklets, which work a bit like holiday diaries and would make good keepsakes after the event, were among the best in any pack. Clever questions inside about plane seat numbers and flight details should engage kids aged four and up for a while onboard. Score 8/10 Etihad The details A backpack with water bottle, superhero cape and activity book for those aged between four and eight. The verdict This airline brought in the big guns for its packs: a triumvirate of DC super heroes from Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi Yas Island. A special mention should go to the satiny superhero cape too. It's the dream for those in Reception but Sonny and our seven-year-old tester Jemima found the theme a bit young. 'It's better for four-year-olds,' she said.

We just returned from an exciting trip to Abu Dhabi, where we explored many captivating destinations, enjoyed thrilling rides, and immersed ourselves in breathtaking scenery. Now that we've had this incredible experience, we're thrilled to share a guide highlighting the top must-visit places in Abu Dhabi! Qasr Al Watan: Describing this presidential palace as merely 'beautiful' would be an understatement. The exterior is exceptionally magnificent, while the interior takes your breath away with its mesmerizing glamour. We were completely awed by the exquisite color palette, the dazzling crystal chandeliers, and the addition of a museum that provided an insightful journey into the palace's rich history. Leaving this masterpiece was a challenge in itself. Warner Bros World: If you're a fan of DC Comics, nostalgic cartoons, iconic sitcoms and fun rides, this place is a must-see. You can meet superheroes like Batman, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman. Don't miss the Joker's fun house with its mind-bending mirrors and upside-down furniture. Plus, you can snap photos on the famous 'Friends' couch. It's a fan's paradise! Louvre Abu Dhabi: The iconic Paris museum opened in Abu Dhabi in 2017, featuring a rich collection of art from across the world. The museum displays post-impressionist French art as well as Middle Eastern works, and is a must-visit on your next Abu Dhabi trip! Sea World: Picking a favorite among these amazing places is tough, but Sea World stood out as the most magical. You'll encounter a variety of marine life like sea turtles, sharks, dolphins, and penguins, even Dory! The unique part? You can have lunch next to the penguins, but remember to bring a jacket because it's icy cold inside! Ferrari World: To all the car enthusiasts, we know you'll love this one! Make sure your adrenaline is pumping cause you'll want to ride the one and only Formula Rossa, the world's fastest roller coaster!
