Warrick EMA to undertake earthquake preparedness assessment
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Warrick County Emergency Management Agency, in partnership with the Central United States Earthquake Consortium, FEMA's National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, announced a comprehensive program that aims to enhance earthquake preparedness throughout the county. Officials say beginning in June, they will undertake a two-week assessment of the safety of schools, hospitals and emergency service buildings to identify potential seismic issues. The initiative is part of a broader effort to revise Warrick County's Disaster Response Plan. According to a release, the survey will be conducted by CUSEC personnel and the EMA Director at no cost to the county. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
