Celebrate our nation's heroes this weekend in Panama City Beach
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WMBB) – A bi-annual celebration of some of our nation's heroes and their families is returning to Panama City Beach for another year this week.
Residents are encouraged to line the streets of PCB Thursday, February 20 for the Warrior Beach Retreat Salute Parade which starts at 4 p.m. and concludes around 5 p.m.
Then a ceremony will be held at the Boardwalk Beach Hotel and Convention Center at 7 p.m. where LTC. Allen West will be the guest speaker.
Calhoun County attraction set to host a wide variety of events
This particular celebration continues to make a return to Bay County due in large part to the positive reception it always receives from the community.
'It's not an event where you just go and you leave,' Warrior Beach Retreat Founder & President Linda Cope said. 'You come and everywhere you go, the whole town lets you know they support you, they love you, and they're thankful for your service. It's unique to the nation and we need to be proud to live in Bay County and to have the friends and neighbors we have.'
Both the parade and ceremony are completely free to attend for all interested.
