Report: Warriors have ‘belief' Butler will return for Game 4
Report: Warriors have 'belief' Butler will return for Game 4 originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area Despite star forward Jimmy Butler missing Game 3 due to a left pelvic contusion, the Warriors still found a way to grab a pivotal 104-93 win on Saturday night and take a 2-1 series lead over the Houston Rockets. Advertisement Now, Golden State believes that their marquee midseason addition will return to action in Monday's Game 4, The Athletic's Anthony Slater reported after Saturday's game. Butler suffered his injury in the first quarter of the Warriors' Game 2 loss to the Rockets on Wednesday night. He initially was listed as questionable for Game 3 after two off days to rest, but Butler eventually was ruled out around an hour before tip-off. The six-time NBA All-Star sustained 'significant swelling' and had limited mobility, according to a report by ESPN's Shams Charania, so an extra 48 hours of rest could be the difference in Butler's recovery. Advertisement 'Playoff Jimmy' tallied an impressive statline of 25 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals in the Warriors' Game 1 win, so Butler's return would be welcomed amid a tense, hard-fought series. Tip-off for Game 4 is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday night at Chase Center, with 'Warriors Pregame Live' airing from Thrive City starting at 6 p.m on NBC Sports Bay Area. Draymond states Warriors aren't ‘senior citizens' ahead of play-in
Draymond states Warriors aren't 'senior citizens' ahead of play-in originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area Programming Note: Tune into 'Warriors Pregame Live' at 6 p.m. PT on Tuesday on NBC Sports Bay Area before the Warriors and Grizzlies tip-off. Immediately after the final buzzer, tune back in for 'Warriors Postgame Live.' Advertisement Steph Curry just turned 37 years old. Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler both are 35. But, make no mistake — the Warriors' core stars have plenty of gas in the tank, Green maintains. After a brutal 124-119 loss in overtime to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, Golden State must earn its ticket to the NBA playoffs through the play-in tournament. As a result, the Warriors lose out on a week of rest before the first round starts. That could have been important time off for players to heal some nagging injuries, particularly Curry. Green was asked if Golden State will have the needed energy to make an extended playoff run — assuming it progresses through the play-in — after Sunday's hard-fought loss to end the regular season. Advertisement 'We'll be fine,' Green responded in his postgame media availability. '[In the] playoffs, you're not playing on back-to-backs or anything like that, so just got to get there. We'll be all right. 'We're not senior citizens. We're high-level basketball players. If we had to play tomorrow, we would be all right. You train all year for this.' Don't worry, though. Green clarified his opinions on the elderly community. 'It's no disrespect to the senior citizens, by the way,' Green added with a smile. 'We love our senior citizens. Just throwing that out there. 'But we [aren't] there yet, so we'll be just fine.' Advertisement With a win Tuesday against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Warriors at least can salvage a few days off before a first-round matchup with the Houston Rockets. Regardless, Green isn't worried about Golden State's ability to make a deep run. Download and follow the Dubs Talk Podcast

Immediately after the final buzzer, tune back in for 'Warriors Postgame Live.' Advertisement The stats say Warriors star guard Steph Curry remains the NBA's best shooter. Yes, even at 37 years of age, there is no one that can outshoot the Chef from the floor. Curry ended the 2024-25 NBA regular season with a shooting score of 178.8, putting him 26.4 points clear of Kings star Zach LaVine, who finished second on the list. Additionally, Curry finished first in points per 75 possessions at 2.8 while proving a balanced efficiency through other categories such as pull-up 3-pointers, catch-and-shoot 3-pointers, free throws and long 2-pointers. Curry, who became the first player in NBA history to record 4,000 made 3-pointers in March, is the only Golden State player on the Top 30 list.
