Major search launched for missing dad after boat capsizes on Draycote Water reservoir as son pulled from lake
A MAJOR hunt has been launched for a missing dad after he and his son's boat capsized on Draycote Water reservoir. Emergency services were called at about 3:30pm on Thursday to reports of the incident in Rugby, Warwickshire. The son was pulled from the water found not to be injured but an urgent hunt for his missing dad is ongoing. Police were still at the scene on Friday afternoon along with a team from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service, cops said. The force added that teams were "working tirelessly" and asked the public to stay clear of the area so as not to disrupt the search. Draycote Water said the reservoir would remain shut tomorrow, which includes the sailing club, fishing club and restaurant. A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service told the BBC: "He was assessed but did not require further treatment and was discharged at the scene," the spokesperson said. "Following several hours of further searching alongside police and fire colleagues, no other patients were found, and our resources were scaled back." 1
