KIMBALL JUNCTION, Utah () — A police pursuit ended with minor injuries and one suspect in custody on Monday morning, June 2.
Sgt. Andy Battenfield with the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office said deputies were responding to a domestic violence issue around 8 a.m. on Monday when the suspect fled. Wasatch County Sheriff's deputies pursued the suspect until they left the county, at which point, Utah Highway Patrol took over.
Highway Patrol successfully spiked the suspect's tires in the pursuit, reportedly causing them to clip a nearby semi-truck. Battenfield confirmed with the suspect, who has yet to be publicly identified, was taken into custody on I-80 near milepost 146 near Kimball Junction.
The suspect was reportedly transported to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries before being arrested.
