K-pop stars 2NE1, Taemin and Minho from Shinee to headline Waterbomb Singapore 2025

(Clockwise from left) K-pop boy band Shinee's Taemin and Minho, and girl group 2NE1. - VIU SINGAPORE SINGAPORE: K-pop girl group 2NE1 as well as singers Taemin and Minho from boy band Shinee have been added to the line-up of the second edition of Waterbomb Singapore at Siloso Beach in Sentosa. These headliners join other music acts like Junny, Huta (Lee Minhyuk from BTOB), Jay B from Got7, Ash Island, Anson Lo from Mirror and Exid. Slated to take place on Aug 30 and 31, the water music festival has its roots from South Korea, with its first edition in 2015. It has since expanded regionally, making its debut in Singapore in August 2024 at the same venue with K-pop stars like Rain, Jay Park, Jessi, BamBam and Chung Ha taking the stage. 2NE1 members Sandara Park and CL, who were part of the 2024 line-up, will return to the Waterbomb Singapore stage in 2025 as a full group alongside their bandmates Bom and Minzy. The quartet were last in Singapore in December 2024 for two comeback concerts at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Taemin and Minho, fresh off their solo performances at Waterbomb Seoul 2024, will bring that same energy to the upcoming Singapore edition. They were last here in March 2024 as part of Shinee's sixth world tour, Shinee World VI: Perfect Illumination, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Waterbomb Singapore 2025 will also feature several music collaborations, like Team Bebe x Jam Republic. Team Bebe, champion of the South Korean TV dance competition Street Woman Fighter 2 (2023), is known for its electrifying performances, while Jam Republic is an international street dance crew. Look out, too, for reunited duo Sorn x Seungyeon, who were once from South Korean girl group CLC and will deliver a nostalgic set. Home-grown artistes will also make appearances, such as former J-pop singer Estelle Fly, a former member of Japanese idol group Sea*A, and singer-songwriter Whylucas, a contestant from regional idol survival show Chuang Asia 2 (2025). What is Waterbomb? This high-energy bash is a celebration of all things Korean – from K-pop to street food. As the name suggests, expect plenty of water-fuelled fun, with water gun fights, splash zones, photobooths, water cannons, and of course, the highly-anticipated live performances happening throughout the festival.
