June is full of activities. Here are five events you might want to check out in the Peoria area this weekend. The 2025 Spring Bay Watermelon Festival will be held from June 5-7 at the Spring Bay American Legion Post 1115, 500 Legion Lane, East Peoria. The festival will feature a variety of events, including a carnival with rides, a vendor fair, a classic car show, live music and plenty of watermelons. Activities will include a carnival, country store, car show, parade, live entertainment and a variety of turkey dishes. Central Park at the corner of Main and Magnolia will be filled with crafters and vendors, as well as food, including lots of strawberry desserts, and local entertainers.
