Here's Why Fans Are Certain Maroon 5 & LISA of BLACKPINK Are Teasing a Collab
Some of Maroon 5 and LISA's recent posts have been making fans wonder: Are the band and BLACKPINK star teasing a collaboration? Following what appeared to be a couple clues that a team-up was in the works, fans are convinced that LISA and the Adam Levine-fronted group have gotten in the studio together. The first apparent sign came earlier this week, when Maroon 5 posted an Instagram photo taken from behind of the lead singer and a mystery lady standing side by side, staring out of a floor-to-ceiling window at a cityscape. Paired with an audio snippet of what sounds a lot like Levine's voice singing 'Oooh' over a sunny guitar riff, the clip shows LISA lying back while seemingly filming a video, her hair and jumpsuit matching those of the anonymous woman in the original photo Maroon 5 posted before. 'LISA x MAROON 5 ARE COMING OMG,' one fan wrote on X after the Thai rapper shared the video. 'I know its Lisa … Damn this gonna be fire,' another fan commented on Maroon 5's post, while one person replied, 'If that's Lisa, you already know its gonna be a hit.' The teaser comes a few weeks after Levine confirmed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that Maroon 5 has a new album — the band's first since 2021's Jordi — coming this summer. Without sharing any concrete details, The Voice coach also revealed, 'There's a single coming at the end of the month-ish.' But while Maroon 5 gears up for a new album era, LISA is finishing up the rollout of her first-ever solo LP, Alter Ego. Featuring collaborations with Rosalía, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat and RAYE, and more, the project debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and served as the source material for much of LISA's victorious Coachella sets April 11 and 18. Silvio Rodríguez Announces 2025 Tour of Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru & Colombia
Renowned singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez has announced a tour across five South American countries later this year, sharing the news in an Instagram post on Thursday (April 10). 'Hey, friends! I'm Silvio Rodríguez, and I just wanted to share this quick message to announce an upcoming tour through Latin America,' he said in the video. 'It'll be in five countries, running from late September to early November of 2025. The countries, in this order, are Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru and Colombia. That's all for now! We're really excited about this, and I hope you all are too. Thank you so much.' The announcement also sets his return to South America after last touring the region in 2018 with concerts in Chile and Argentina. The nueva trova artist will be joined on tour by Emilio Vega (vibraphone), Jorge Aragón and Malva Rodríguez (piano), Niurka González (flute and clarinet), Jorge Reyes (double bass), Rachid López (guitar), Maykel Elizarde (tres guitar) and Oliver Valdés (drums), according to Cuba Noticias 360. His most recent release, Quería Saber — his 21st studio album — was released last June. Silvio Rodríguez is a pioneer of la nueva trova, a music movement that emerged in Cuba in the late 1960s blending poetic lyrics with social and political themes. One of his most recognizable hits include 'Ojalá,' 'Quien Fuera,' 'Te Doy Una Canción' and many more. His profound storytelling and evocative melodies have inspired generations, establishing him as one of Latin America's most iconic and influential artists. Sen. Bernie Sanders' 'Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here' tour will fire up again this weekend when he brings a roster of heavy hitters with him to Los Angeles's Gloria Molina Grand Park. In addition to the firebrand Vermont independent, the event will also feature his tour mate, Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, as well as Neil Young, Joan Baez and Maggie Rogers. Others slated to perform at the rally include: Jeff Rosenstock, Dirty Projectors, Indigo De Souza, The Red Pears and the Raise Gospel Choir. During a CNN town hall with Anderson Cooper on Wednesday, Sanders lambasted Trump's pugilistic approach to foreign policy, saying, 'We don't have to hate China. We don't have to hate other people. Let's figure out a way to work together.' With Trump threatening greatly increased tariffs on most countries in the world, then doing a sudden about-face just hours before they were slated to go into effect this week — while boosting tariffs on China to 125% — Sanders, 83, added, 'The goal has got to be to break down these barriers that separate us as human beings — come together as Americans and come together globally as human beings.' The whipsawing of the markets has touched nearly every aspect of the economy, including music stocks, which saw large declines last week after the President's so-called 'Liberation Day' imposition of tariffs on all U.S. trading partners. The ensuing Wall Street bloodbath kicked off a massive decline across a number of stock indices, with a wide range of music stocks suffering major declines ranging from 6.8% for MSG Entertainment to 13.9% for Sphere Entertainment Co. last Thursday. Sanders and AOC have been barnstorming across the country on their tour, drawing thousands, and in some cases tens of thousands, at rallies in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and Utah. At a March 7 event in Kenosha, WI, Sanders invited Laura Jane Grace on stage to perform a new song called 'Your God (God's D–k),' which caused some outrage online about its profane lyrics and religious themes. in the song, Grace notes that some while religious conservatives are struggling to use the proper pronouns for trans people, they have no problem when it comes to gendering a deity. 'Does your god have a big fat d–k?/ 'Cause it feels like he's f—ing me,' Grace sings on the track. 'Are his b–ls filled with lightning?/ Do they dangle like heaven's keys?'
