DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — The Decatur Police Department said one person was arrested on three warrants for credit/debit card fraud. DPD said on Jan. 20, a Decatur resident reported that their credit/debit card had been stolen during a burglary. A joint investigation between Financial Crimes and Property Crimes detectives determined that the card was used at a business in the 200 block of Austinville Road shortly after the burglary. On Feb. 12, three warrants for fraudulent use of a credit/debit card were obtained for Sears' arrest. On April 1, Sears was released from the Madison County Jail and transported to the Morgan County Jail, where he was booked for his warrants. He is currently being held on a $3,000 bond. Weather Authority Impact Day Saturday

A Weather Authority Impact Day is in effect Saturday as we track showers and thunderstorms that could produce damage. While there could be some scattered showers or isolated storms early Saturday morning, the greater risk will come Saturday night with a line of storms. Storms are forecast to move into northwest Alabama around 8 p.m. tracking closer to Huntsville by 10 p.m. Those in northeast Alabama will be dealing with storms between roughly 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. Sunday. Damaging wind gusts greater than 60 mph will be the main threat although a tornado will be possible along the leading edge of the line of storms. Torrential rainfall will be another threat as up to 2 inches with some spots nearing 3 inches will be possible. Stay with the Weather Authority as we track this system. Areal Flood Warnings issued for the area

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — As moderate to heavy rain bands continue to push into the Tennessee Valley, the threat of flooding will continue. The Weather Authority Impact Day will go into effect Wednesday as there will be an enhanced risk of flooding in the area. An Areal Flood Warning has been issued for areas along and west of I-65 through 9 p.m. Tuesday. Counties included in the warning are Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, western Limestone, & western Morgan counties. Florence/Lauderdale EMA announces roads closed for flooding A second warning has been issued for eastern Limestone, Franklin (TN), Jackson, Lincoln, Madison, & Moore counties until 9 p.m. Low-lying areas and roadways may have water overflowing them or may be impassable. Many roads in Lauderdale County specifically are closed until the water recedes. Areas east of I-65 are beginning to see flooding in low-lying areas and water flowing over roadways, especially in Jackson County. In the past 24 hours, some areas have recorded between 0.75 to over 2.50 inches of rain. Rain is forecast to continue to fall overnight through Wednesday. This will increase the threat of flooding in the area and possibly lead to more flood alerts. With more warnings possible on Wednesday, it's important to have multiple ways to receive alerts. With the threat of flooding, it's important to remember your flood safety tips. Never drive through a flooded roadway, turn around, and find an alternate route.
