Storm Team 3: Weather Aware Monday, Summer Weather Sticks Around
Overnight
Warm and humid conditions continue this evening and overnight. A 20% chance of stray showers and storms cannot be ruled out before daybreak.
Weather Aware Monday
Monday features similar conditions to Sunday with a warm, humid, uneventful start. Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s and lower 90s with heat index values upwards of 100°. Scattered thunderstorms again come into play for the afternoon.
We will be Weather Aware again on Monday. Some remnant energy of a storm complex will entangle with daily seabreeze storms and lead to the potential for strong and severe storms.
More intense cells will be capable of damaging straight-line wind gusts and small hail. Frequent lightning and heavy rainfall are expected as well.
Summer Pattern Sticks Around
Scattered storm chances continue through the week as the summer-like pattern is locked in. There is the risk for isolated severe storms Tuesday. Be mindful of the heat due to it being relatively early in the hot season and the body taking time to acclimate.
