Cullman NOAA Weather Radio transmitter offline
CULLMAN, Ala. (WHNT) — The National Weather Service in Huntsville said Sunday evening that the NOAA Weather Radio Transmitter in Cullman will be offline until further notice.
Those who live in Cullman County that use the NOAA Weather Radio Hazard Transmitter WWF-66 operating on a frequency of 162.450 MHz, it will be off the air.
Impact Day: Severe storms Sunday night – Monday morning
The NWS says technicians have been notified and are working to resolve the issue.
An alternate transmitter to use until the Cullman transmitter is repaired includes WNG-642 out of Arab, transmitting on 162.525 MHz.
