Showers, storms could pop up throughout the day on Wednesday
There will be many more dry hours than wet on Wednesday, but any showers and storms that do pop up could be slow movers, creating areas of heavy rain. Spotty showers and storms will fire up during the afternoon. While it won't rain everywhere, there will be some pockets of heavy rain with any slow-moving thunderstorms that could lead to localized flooding, especially in the mountains, where many areas saw high water issues Tuesday. Thursday will be warm with a few isolated showers during the day, but most areas will be dry. There is a threat for stronger storms late Thursday night through early Friday morning. On-and-off showers Tuesday with unsettled weather pattern expected through week
An unsettled weather pattern is expected through the week. Cloudy and cooler today with showers on and off, thunder can't be ruled out. Highs will only make it to the upper 60s this afternoon. Wednesday will be warmer with a little more sunshine at times; highs rise back to the mid-70s. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible Wednesday afternoon and evening. The end of the week will turn much warmer with highs in the 80s. The chance for thunderstorms late Thursday night and Friday, a few storms could become strong to severe on Friday. Cold start to morning Tuesday before sunshine, warmer temperatures move in
Make sure to grab your jacket before you head out the door this morning, wake up temperatures are in the upper 20s and low 30s. You'll need your sunglasses as well, expect plenty of sunshine today with winds kicking up out of the south that will push temperatures to the upper 60s this afternoon! Much warmer air is expected Wednesday with highs rising near record marks jumping to the upper 70s near 80. Wednesday's record high for Pittsburgh is 78 degrees, set back in 1898.
