Pinoy prospect Weljon Mindoro scores another knockout in the US
Unbeaten Filipino middleweight prospect Weljon Mindorom added another victim to his knockout streak following a first-round stoppage over Omar Munguia this Sunday (PH time) at Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas.
Mindoro, 25, did not waste time in the early going as he went to the head and body of his previously unbeaten opponent. Mindoro pressed the action throughout the stanza, landing a clean left hook to the body before sending his Mexican foe to the canvas with a clean right uppercut.
Down and badly hurt, the referee waived the contest at the 1:28 mark of round one, improving Mindoro's record to 14-0-1 with 14 knockouts.
