Jason Christopher Sessoms, a Riverside, Missouri man, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action for the shooting deaths of his parents, Marvin and Maleeka Sessoms, at a Kansas City, Missouri motel this past weekend.
Jason is currently being held at the Van Buren County Detention Facility in Paw Paw, Michigan, on a $2 million bond.

An EF-1 tornado touched down in Vernon County, Missouri, on Wednesday morning, damaging the Nevada Oaks complex used as student housing for the Missouri Welding Institute. No deaths or serious injuries were reported, but over 4800 people lost power.
The city of Nevada is still recovering from the damage, with 1000 people still waiting for their power to be restored. The complex plans to repair the units, but it will take time.
