Firefighters still working to put out west Edmonton grass fire

A grass fire that closed part of Anthony Henday Drive on Tuesday is still burning Wednesday morning, officials have confirmed. Crews are on scene and the fire has not yet been called out, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services confirmed at 8 a.m. Firefighters began working on the blaze near Anthony Henday Drive and 111 Avenue at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, when flames originated closer to 186 Street and 104 Avenue. As the fire spread, several businesses in the area were evacuated and northbound Anthony Henday Drive was shut down between Stony Plain Road and Yellowhead Highway.
