Suspect tries to flee from Hanover Police, crashes on community
A man from West Grey is facing more than a dozen charges, including resisting arrest, after police said he tried to flee from officers.
The Hanover Police Service said officers tried to stop a motorcyclist at the north end of 12th Avenue around 10 p.m. Saturday.
The suspect took off, driving onto a community trail on 14th Street.
Police said the suspect lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. He jumped to his feet and tried to run from the crash site before he was arrested by the officers who were chasing him.
A 40-year-old man was charged with flight from police, dangerous operation, resisting arrest, wearing a disguise with intent, breach of probation, breach of undertaking, four counts of driving while prohibited, driving without insurance, driving under suspension, unnecessary noise, driving with cannabis in an open container and more.
He was held in custody and his motorcycle was impounded.
