Sioux City schools names 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux City Community School District has announced their 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year.
West High Freshman seminar teacher Jessie Cofield has been named Teacher of the Year.
Sioux City Railroad Museum reopens after months of repairs
The school district held a surprise award ceremony for Cofield at the high school on Wednesday.
SCCSD superintendent Dr. Rod Earleywine said that Cofield's ability to engage with both students and staff at West High has made a lasting impact.
'Jessie unequivocally fosters a positive learning environment. Her tireless efforts to connect with students and co-workers has made her a valued colleague and outstanding educator,' says Earleywine. 'The District is very fortunate to have Jessie on our team. She displays every quality that you would expect from an exemplary teacher.'
