Lewis Hamilton spotted partying with ‘Russian model linked to Chelsea flop' in nightclub hours after Monaco GP

LEWIS HAMILTON was spotted partying with a Russian model after the Monaco Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver, 40, came fifth on Sunday and then hit the town for a well-earned night out. 9 9 9 9 A video has since emerged on social media that appears to show Hamilton dancing next to a blonde woman in a nightclub. The seven-time world champion, who was dressed in a red vest and white sunglasses, got cosy a lady by putting his arm around her while dancing. Reports from the Daily Mail claim the blonde is Russian model and influencer Violetta Bert. The beauty, who boasts 806,000 followers on Instagram, has been posting snaps of herself enjoying the life of luxury in Monaco for the last week. Violetta, 29, was previously rumoured to be dating Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk. The pair never confirmed their relationship before supposedly breaking up last year. Violetta was then linked to former Leeds midfielder Weston McKennie and they reportedly enjoyed a romantic break together in the French Alps. Though she seemingly denied the allegations, writing on social media in January: "Information for fake rumours. I didn't dump anyone and I'm not dating anyone. And I have never confirmed any relationship." Hamilton is thought to be single despite rumours claiming he enjoyed a date with actress Sofia Vergara earlier this year. He has previously been in a relationship with model Camila Kendra and singer Nicole Scherzinger. Hamilton's night out at a high-end club came after an awkward Grand Prix in Monaco. The Brit crashed during a practice session and constructors then faced a race against time to get his car ready for qualifying. And in the main race, Hamilton was involved in a frosty exchange with his Ferrari colleagues after being told to "push now, it is our race." He said post-drive: "It wasn't very clear, the information wasn't that clear. I didn't really understand 'this is our race'. 'I didn't know what I was fighting for. Am I fighting for the next spot ahead? "In actual fact when I look at the data I wasn't near anybody ahead. "I used up my tyres a lot in that moment but I was so far away from them.' 9 9 9 9

Lewis Hamilton spotted cosying up to Russian model in Monaco nightclub - months after she denied relationships with TWO Premier League flops

Lewis Hamilton was spotted cosying up to Russian model and influencer Violetta Bert in a Monaco nightclub on the heels of the Principality's Grand Prix last weekend. Bert - who is also known by the name Violetta Gracheva - was previously linked to Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk, who has been suspended since November 2024 after testing positive for banned substance meldonium. Mudryk has denied any wrongdoing and been working to prove his innocence. In January, Mail Sport reported that Mudryk and Bert - who had never taken their relationship public - had broken up, with the model moving on from the midfielder with former Leeds and current Juventus star Weston McKennie. McKennie and Bert were said to have jetted off for a romantic holiday in the French ski resort in Courchevel, but the influencer was quick to deny that she was spending time with the ex-Premier League player on social media. 'Information for fake rumours,' she posted in January. 'I didn't dump anyone and I'm not dating anyone! And I have never confirmed any relationship!' But Bert may have to mount a stronger denial after being linked with Hamilton, with video footage of the pair dancing at a Monte-Carlo nightclub emerging in the wake of race weekend. In the video shared with Glam Set & Match, Bert and Hamilton are seen entering the club within moments of one another, as if part of the same group. Further footage shows the would-be couple dancing and talking to one another in the middle of the upscale nightclub. Bert also shared a number of Instagram stories from Monaco as she took in the Grand Prix weekend in luxurious style. Hamilton was most recently linked to Colombian actress Sofia Vegara, with the pair sparking dating rumours in January before things reportedly fizzled between them in late March. In a potentially awkward moment, Vegara took in last weekend's Monaco Grand Prix alongside a new mystery man. Previous partners of the Ferrari driver are thought to have included Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger, Rita Ora, and model Camila Kendra. The seven-time world champion finished fifth in Monte-Carlo after a disappointing qualifying But Hamilton insisted in a recent interview that his single status was only a help for his career, rather than a hinderance. 'Don't ever compare me to anybody else,' Hamilton told Time magazine. 'I'm the first and only Black driver that's ever been in this sport. I'm built different. I've been through a lot. I've had my own journey. 'You can't compare me to another 40-year-old, past or present, Formula One driver in history. Because they are nothing like me. 'I'm hungry, driven, don't have a wife and kids. I'm focused on one thing, and that's winning. That's my No 1 priority.' Ahead of his alleged date with Bert, Hamilton enjoyed a happier end to a race weekend that began with him dropping three grid places for impeding Max Verstappen in qualifying. The Briton eventually finished fifth in the Principality. But the star will have been disappointed to have ended up three places behind his team-mate Charles Leclerc, who made the podium after finishing second. Bert sparked dating rumours with McKennie over the festive period after sharing a Christmas card some believed to be from the defender. But Bert vigorously denied that she was in a relationship - or that she had 'ever dumped anyone' on social media Bert showed off a handwritten card she had received, which had the name of the sender curiously concealed - although part of the letter 'W' appeared to have been left visible. The card read: 'Enjoy baby, Love. Merry Christmas.' Despite being sidelined due to injury, Mudryk has jetted to Poland to watch his Chelsea sit play the Europa Conference League final against Real Betis on Wednesday evening. Mail Sport revealed on Tuesday that Mudryk will be eligible to receive a medal, after a number of fine performances in Europe last season before his suspension.

Fulham and USMNT's Antonee Robinson undergoes minor knee surgery

Fulham and U.S. men's national team full-back Antonee Robinson has undergone knee surgery. Fulham confirmed the 27-year-old had undergone the operation on his right knee on Tuesday and described the surgery as 'minor'. No exact timeframe has been given for his return but Fulham said he will undergo a period of rehabilitation to be ready for the start of the 2025-26 campaign. Advertisement Robinson was not included in Mauricio Pochettino's USMNT squad for this summer's Gold Cup, having been given the summer off after a long season with Fulham. He made 38 appearances in all competitions and provided 10 assists — the most of any defender in the Premier League. This followed a 2023-24 campaign in which he provided six assists in the top flight and was named Fulham's player of the season. Robinson featured in 36 of Fulham's 38 Premier League fixtures this campaign but missed two of his side's final five league matches through injury. He was also absent from the Concacaf Nations League finals in March due to tendinopathy. The left-back is one of a number of first-team regulars missing from the U.S. Gold Cup squad, alongside Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie and Tim Weah. Like Robinson, Pulisic was also given the summer off after making 50 appearances in all competitions for Milan this season, while McKennie and Weah both have club commitments with Juventus competing in the Club World Cup. The U.S. play Trinidad & Tobago, Saudi Arabia and Haiti in the Gold Cup group stages, which start in June.

Juve have not lived up to their potential this season, Tudor says

Juventus have greater potential than they have shown on the pitch this season, manager Igor Tudor said on Saturday, ahead of his team's final battle to get a top-four finish in Serie A and a place in next season's Champions League. Fourth-placed Juventus are just a point above AS Roma, who have one point more than sixth-placed Lazio, with all three clubs vying for the only Champions League slot still up for grabs as the Serie A season comes to a conclusion on Sunday. "Numbers and calculations are not part of my way of thinking... Juve's potential is bigger than what we can see now," Tudor told reporters a day before their trip to 19th-placed Venezia. "For me this team has done almost nothing wrong. The team gives me confidence for tomorrow. The team wants to take what is theirs. The team is there." Venezia, who sit two points below the safety zone and need a win on Sunday to have any hope of avoiding relegation, are waging a desperate battle for survival and beat seventh-placed Fiorentina 2-1 in their previous home game. "We'll need both (head and heart). It's an important match and we have to concentrate on things on the pitch," said Tudor, who replaced Thiago Motta as coach in March. "I'm happy with the work I've done and I want to take this last step to complete everything." Tudor said midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, who suffered an Achilles tendon injury last month, had trained with the team, but did not say if he was ready to play. "Renato (Veiga) and (Weston) McKennie had problems but they trained with us today," the coach added. Tudor, who spent almost a decade at Juventus as a player, said he wanted to help his players do better, with the club set to compete at the Club World Cup in the United States next month. "I want to do my best to help my players. I want to make them understand what we can do at Venezia and where we can improve," he said.

Mauricio Pochettino sends clear message with latest USMNT roster: 'What we want ... is people desperate to perform'

USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino has a clear message for members of the national team's core: Get ready for a challenge. On Thursday, U.S. Soccer announced the USMNT roster for the final set of friendlies before the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Like previous rosters, the squad includes a number of new names as Pochettino extends more opportunities to uncapped players. However, this roster is missing an unusually large number of big names: Christian Pulisic will be out after requesting time to rest. Other core players like Antonee Robinson, Weston McKennie, Tim Weah and more are also absent, due to a mixture of injuries, coach's decisions and the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup. Those excused absences or coach's decisions might seem reasonable enough. But then Pochettino seemed to clearly outline a hard reset on the USMNT's culture. In a news conference on Thursday, Pochettino mentioned that it was "exciting" to bring in different players, including players who are making their USMNT debuts — and players who can try to "challenge" players who would otherwise be a lock for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. "I think it's important to create this challenge," he said. Pochettino's short tenure with the USMNT has had its rough patches, with back-to-back losses in the CONCACAF Nations League in March. While sounding clearly unsatisfied with some of the team's recent results, Pochettino seemed to open up the possibility that any member of the team's core could lose out on a spot in the next year. "I think (even) with all the names, I think that everyone would agree with us, we didn't perform," Pochettino said. "But I think the important thing is to provide to the new player the possibility to challenge, and to challenge the possibility to take a place. Players will arrive at camp on June 1, where Pochettino says that they'll start off with a conversation about "the possibility to defend your place." "When you are, now, in the national team is not because you are here to try to replace people that (are) sure that (they are) going to be here. No, you have the possibility to defend your place," Pochettino said of the players coming to this camp. "How you are going to defend your place, that is the important thing for us. You need to fight, you need to show attitude, the right attitude, but not only that, perform, and be brave, and follow the rules that we set in the group.' "I think it is really important for us," he continued. "They are going to compete in a fair way with different people that maybe are not involved today in this squad. Since taking over the national team, Pochettino has been notably open to providing opportunities for players who are not part of the USMNT core. The June roster includes a couple of notable first-time call-ups, including Orlando City defender Alex Freeman, Philadelphia Union midfielder Quinn Sullivan, FC Köln forward Damion Downs and (ironically) Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Sebastian Berhalter, the son of former USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter, who Pochettino replaced. "It's about not (losing) the possibility when you have the chance," Pochettino said. "My feeling in all these camps, from October, November, January and March, I think many players, they took the chance and deserve to again to come back because (they) not only perform and behave well in the camp, if not after they keep performing in their teams." But then the head coach continued with a lengthy, eyebrow-raising commentary on whether this roster is meant to give the current USMNT core a jolt. "(In) a previous question you say to me, is (this roster) to punish or to say 'pay attention' to some players? What we want to create in our national team is people desperate to come, but desperate to come, to perform. To perform means (to) follow the rule, create good atmosphere, be part of the team, be able, in every single aspect, (to meet) our (federation's) demand," Pochettino said, "and understand that it's possible (for it to) be the last possibility to be with us. "Because we only have time to maybe train one, two, three times, then play. One, two recovery sessions and then play. And then go home and maybe wait two months to be all together (again). If you arrive to the camp and you want to spend a nice time, play golf, go for a dinner, visit my family, visit my friend. Is that the culture that we want to create? No, no, no, no, no. "What we want to do is to go to the national team, arrive and be focused. And spend all my focus and energy on the national team. Because we need to create this culture about winning," he continued. "If we want to be good in one year's time, we need to think that today is the most important day, because we need to build from today our way to arrive. It's not to say, 'OK, I wait, I wait, I wait. No, the World Cup is in one year. It's in six months. It's in one month.' And then it's (too) late. "That is why I think it's important to have (a) different approach," Pochettino concluded. Pochettino is making it clear: No spot is safe for the 2026 World Cup. The current roster will have a chance to prove itself at two friendlies before the Gold Cup, with a friendly against Turkey on June 7 and one against Switzerland on June 10. After that, the U.S. will move on to the Gold Cup, with the first group stage match on June 15. (Team, caps, goals listed in parentheses.)
