SNGPL achieves highest-ever profitability
LAHORE: The shareholders approved the annual audited financial statements for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024. The Company achieved its highest ever profitability, recording a profit before tax of Rs. 29,843 million and a profit after tax of Rs. 18,977 million, translating into earnings per share (EPS) of Rs. 29.92. This marks a substantial increase from the previous year's profit after tax of Rs. 10,564 million and EPS of Rs. 16.66. According to the press statement the shareholders also approved the highest ever final cash dividend of Rs. 7.50 per share (75%) for the year ended June 30, 2024 on the recommendations of the Board. They also approved the re-appointment of M/s. A.F. Ferguson & Co., Chartered Accountants, as external auditors for the financial year 2024–25. A notable achievement during the year was the significant reduction in Unaccounted for Gas (UFG). Overall UFG losses dropped from 5.15% to 4.93%, leading to the lowest disallowance in 18 years. Through proactive field interventions, the adoption of technology, and stringent monitoring protocols, the Company saved over 1,269 MMCF of gas, reinforcing its commitment to operational efficiency and environmental stewardship. A detailed interactive session with the shareholders was held. A number of suggestions were noted and the shareholders were responded to their satisfaction. Wisconsin 18-year-old arrested for OWI twice within an hour, PBT more than 5 times legal limit
SHOREWOOD HILLS, Wis. (WFRV) – An 18-year-old from southern Wisconsin was arrested for OWI twice within an hour after first submitting a preliminary breath test of more than five times the legal limit. The 18-year-old, who officers with the Shorewood Hills Police Department say is from Madison, was initially pulled over around 9:30 p.m. on May 5. She was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) after her preliminary breath test (PBT) result was .41, which is more than five times the legal limit. Officers say she was processed and released to a 'responsible party' at 10:21 p.m. Shortly after, around 10:36 p.m., the same officers spotted the same vehicle at 'high speeds' with 'poor lane control.' After a traffic stop, the same 18-year-old was found to be driving. Traffic stop for high beams leads to Wisconsin man's 11th OWI arrest
MIDDLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – A Wisconsin man was arrested for his 11th OWI offense after he was pulled over for allegedly failing to dim his high beam headlights when he drove past an officer. According to a release from the Middleton Police Department, around 1:25 a.m. on April 2, an officer was driving on University Avenue when an oncoming car allegedly failed to dim its high beams, leading to a traffic stop in the 7700 block of Elmwood Avenue in Middleton. Burkhalter of Mazomanie. It was also noted that Burkhalter's eyes were reportedly 'glossy' and that he admitted to drinking before driving. After field sobriety tests, Burkhalter was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI), his tentative 11th OWI charge. His blood alcohol level was reportedly 0.11. Suspect in Wisconsin flees on foot after crashing vehicle during police pursuit Due to Burkhalter's prior offenses, he had a 0.02 prohibited alcohol concentration restriction.
